Outstanding OP. Now you're making me look bad lol
You should do a tutorial on how to do planets like that. I mean i can do 3db or cmp based ones using one texture, but i'm assuming these are made like vanilla planets? You can whisper how you do it, nobody is listening...

Now you're in trouble OP. I've got into this now. Started with the easiest two in the code, icemoon txm and cratermoon txm as they have one texture for the whole planet. Made a 1024x1024 texture for both and got some very good results, way better than standard. Of course my momentum stopped after that as now we're into 3 texture territory and i'm getting lost. I won't post pictures here as this is your thread but i'll post some down in the Genesis thread to show you what i managed to do. Can't wait to find out how you do these. I'm in awe as to how good these planets of yours look, really impressive, but enough back slapping for now, back to my modding shed

Anyway, I hope there more missions will available in some systems. Frequent message "no missions available" in the bar of planet Crete, Omicron Gamma is annoying sometimes..

Hmm OP, I have a question, you think you'll be able to put Capital ship inside Missions? I mean fighting against capital ships, that would be a new challenge!

Nice and what about Capital Ship hulls?... Are they gonna be stronger now? They shouldn't be TOO easy for Fighters to kill BUT also not Impossible. And a few diffrent turrets with same damage so it wont look (All with diffrent guns you know, but same damage).

just like all planets also the system backgrounds got a major improvement
CF always had the coolest system look and since nowadays many other mods make use of similar graphics I decided to give CF an upgrade in that area aswell in order to remain the best looking modhowever... not only the planets,suns and starspheres change with CF2.0
also the system structure will get massive updates.... all of the 99 Crossfire systems will be reworked step by step
task is to make the CF universe more interesting... and for sure worth re-exploring againThe systems will be much more detailed. It is planned to create special sceneries to get away from ordinary FL look.
We already have special sceneries in CF but only in selected systems such as in Sol, Dervon or x-3043. All of the 99 CF will get reviewed and adjusted to reflect a more lively universe.
The basic style of CF will remain the same but there will be thousands of detail improvements giving players a reason to visit all these systems again (and to a degree re-visiting them regulary)We have several additional detail improvements in mind such as massive use of patrol paths, miners which spawn in mineable asteroid fields and unique styles of solar objects.
Since we have different sectors with different factions in them we also make further improvements in these areas.
Coalition will play a bigger role again (not only story wise)... so many improvements will be done in coaltion space.
New mine types for the coalition mine fields... new transports... utility ships, stations, gas miners, wrecks, debris..... practically everything that is normal in the alliance words (in sirius) will be added for the coalition aswell.
The Inner Core worlds are a different topic... it makes not much sense to compare human solars with the ones of the kavash. However even the DKs have lost ships in heavy battles and so we introduce wrecks and debris to the inner core systems. It might happen that we even create utility ships for the DKs and of course we already have released a preview of the new DK hypergate at moddb.
Before somebody asks... we do not intend to add moors to DK stations.With these changes on the systems we also started to review the entire mission system. With other words, every single station/planet will be checked and adjustments to the system zones and offered mission will be done. It is also intended to widen the mission difficulty range.
e.g. in CF1.9 planet crossfire usually offers 2 missions with lvl 42-lvl43 (only destroy missions)
for CF2.0 the same planet will offer up to 10 missions with a difficulty range of 26-43 (all kinds of missions)Next to that we have another major point on our Todo list: restructuring the mission layout.
In theory (i have to check it first) we want to turn our current mission system (mission lvl 1-43) into slightly compressed one.
That means the normal missions will be available only to mission level 40... so a lvl 43 mission of CF1.9 will be just lvl 40 in CF2.0. The reward will remain the same... so in CF2.0 you get for a lvl40 mission the same reward as for a lvl43 mission in CF1.9
The mission levels 41-43 will be used for ultra hard mission types. The reward of these missions will be much higher. The difficulty of these missions will be that high that you can finish the mission only if you play in teams. -
