Why is that happening I mean, i fight with them sometimes with ease, without using Shield batteries and Nanobots, but when they lag, i can't hit them at all...
they disappear and show up on other places in milliseconds... Just now for example, i fought 2 packs of dom'satak with using just 15-20 nanobots in both fights... and then came third pack(lagging one), and i barely make it with all my Shield batteries and Nanobots used... Then i thought, ok, maybe it's my i-net, so i head back to station, reloaded, and came back to try and fight them again... And again, they were lagging... I checked my ping in the middle of the fight, and it was 46 0 1...
So i really don't know why is that happening

NPC's in Inner Core lagging

Eventually increased server load...
-
Yeah it's the server load. I'm not sure why it's one up in the past few days, and server crashies have increased too...
-
Microsoft OS does this also before a new release is due ...
I think there must be some kind or randomiser at work here iro the difficulty of npcs ....
Kind Regards

Old issue, Drale...
-
Blah...
it is going on my nerves...

I understand you fully, Drale, seeing as I have a char permanently up there. It is one of the things Op has fixed in 1.9, so he said. Only thing you can do is hit shift+F12 to change frame rate - it helps a little
If you are up there alone, give me a shout and I'll fly wing for you.FD

I had very bad experience in IC , then I replaced my Graphics cards (see below my sig) .. and all is very well now ..
It is again FUN to go into IC
Kind Regards

Hmmm... I will try that thing with "shift+F12" thank youand, if i see you there, expect my call

Hi Drale,
I'd be interested to know if the "shift+F12" thing does anything....please post after you test it
You ought to be happy that you have nice ping......I gave up exploring IC very quickly (my ping is usually 189,0,0) I doubt that anythings ever going to make those ships jump less for me....but I'm sure to make a run through there again someday.

Usually, i have a ping between 55 and 60 in IC and they still jump for me.Only chance to fight them is when i am alone and then they jump minimal, but again after 30-45 min of fighting i feel like we fought for many hours...

Maybe so. But anyone who just allows their servers to be updated when Microsoft feels like doing it, needs to rethink their plan. We do our updates to ours once per month and at the same time, reboot our VMware / Virtual environments and the user's machines. Keeps things in order.

Hi
This was meant as humour....(hidden expiry date or the OS 'senses an new version imminent' ) ... and has nothing to do with updates or how it is performed or what is the right way to perform updates.
Must be a 'lost in translation' problem between Afrikaans and English ...

reason 1 for the lag: server performance at specific times
reason 2 for the lag: the environment there causes additional calculations which might cause such problems (in CF1.9 an improved setting is used)
reason 3 for the lag: sometimes npcs collide as they are flying in formations but actually have a bigger shape than vanilla ships (that would cause short but heavy lag on the client side) -
Yes - Seen That
Yes - My craphics cards upgrade sorted that one out
Interesting - Thanks for the information .... I have also seen the lagging performs worse when a BS is with a group of fighters in IC, than when just 2 -3 fighters is in a group.
Kind Regards

I have hunted them today with couple of players, and they were lagging again...
And "Shift+F12" thing didn't work, at least i didn't saw any significant improvement(that may work for someone who has bad hardware)... But, just now i hunted them alone, and they weren't lagging so much... Group may be the reason for today's lagging, but yesterday i was alone
However, OP explained what are the causes...

reason 5. those stubborn players who download while playing ...
