You can go to the East of the Black hole, on the horizontal line you'll find a Dom Kavash gate

Just curious.... why is the gate to Venn nearly invisible, both to the eye and to the scanners? There don't seem to be the usual floating debris markers, either. It requires a very tight grid search to find it... is that intentional?
There are a few secret objects like that. Finding them is more boring than fun.

I spotted the gate with my eye on the screen prior to the scanner... same with all the other gates
In that case, you are seeing something different than what I see, Spiky, which changes my question into a bug report.
Many of the hidden objects in the Inner Core are invisible as close as 5-10k, which is very different than the rest of the Crossfire universe.
I agree that the majority of important objects are visible at long range, except for the Inner Core (and a few in Altair).
Well, that should be a feature not a bug
The Starflier TDM Event has a reminder topic where you can ask, plz remember to make questions on the proper topics, avoiding the serious ones hehe
Check the first post HERE: http://www.swat-portal.com/php/wbboard/thread.php?hl=tdm|reminder|starflier&threadid=15563&boardid=82&sid=a048b4ba9e5502995fe551fb2b47df44
In there you have THIS LINK WITH RULES: http://www.swat-portal.com/php…5b553366c229285075&page=1
There you have all the info (on the second link)
Thx
And about the map thing.
Is it possible?
Alright, here is an update to the files, I've corrected some things on the Sirius map and added some further details to the Inner Core map. I've also changed the no-starfield map versions with no background color at all, it's all sheet-colored, i.e. white, as per request of a certain SWAT forumite for less printer toner usage.
PDFs:

AutoCAD files:

I can not download these files.
same here
Im using internet download manager(IDM).
It's ok now, try without IDM.I'm using FlashGet and had same problems, also i think that we need autocad to use these files.
They both work now, and both worked a while ago when he posted them on another thread here...

Yea, I would forgo the download managers with these downloads... As far as AutoCAD is concerned, you'll only need it for the AutoCAD files zip. :] I hope older versions are easy to come by for some, best results for printouts are from AutoCAD 2004 or higher, these files are in AutoCAD release 14 file format I believe, so they are backwards compatible pretty far back.
For those who do have access to AutoCAD, to print out the different versions of the maps with and without the starfields, you'll have to enter the LAYER command and turn on or off the "STAR-FIELDS" layer (the light bulb icon) to switch between the two. Then just hit the control key + P to bring up the print dialogue box. Print 1:1 scale, use the line outside of the border as your print window extents and make sure it's in color(do a preview) and then hit the PLOT button.
Enjoy!
I dont have have or dont know any program in my computer that can view AutoCAD files(and i dont know what they are).

Unless you can find a copy of AutoCAD on 5-finger discount and magically aquire about 2 years worth of trade schooling to know how to use the program...
However, I did come across THIS, it might work for those who want a more accurate/precision printout and just don't like PDF format.
If you do use that DWG view program, make sure you put all the images in the .zip file in the same directory as the .DWG file so it can find them upon loading. You'll most likely need to install the .TTF font into your C:\Windows\Fonts directory for the text to show up right as well, do it before you load the drawing.
Alright peeps, the 1.81 MAPS ARE HERE!
I've fixed a number of little things, added a few and given them a shiny new RELEASE NUMBER! Haha!
Hopefully these will be the last update I'll ever need to do. The scale is actually pretty realistic and to actual astronomical units now, even though the sector maps were originally 100x too small LOL!
I'll supply the base AutoCAD files by request, just send me a PM if you want them too. Both versions of the maps with background/no background are included, just use whichever you want. The plain ones will be easier on the printer toner though. ENJOY!
could someone please pm me on how to reach hyperspace from minnk.
thx Ryleous ..great job
