i PMed you OP awhile ago and i think its still a good idea that can at least be tried pulling everyone in the community in by putting a mod together with more ships from everyones mod like 2 or three ships plus to go along with Gunnies idea about the ships it think you should be able to customize your ship for the factions your in as well as get a good BS to be able to put together something that would take time to get all the pieces together to make a good BS ... theres engine components gun conponents shield components but make it so it takes awhile to get the components make them expensive and in areas thats not easy to access but can still be dockable ... the vesuveus hip you have in CF the carrier would be a very good start and once the BS reaches full potential it isnt allowed out of clan owned system .. guns for fighters should be upgradable but also cause damage enough to themselves that they are used sparringly and as for missles they should be a lot more expensive tired of the missle Spamming that is running amock..make them track the way they should but only allow for maybe 30 and cut there power down..guns for fighters could be raqmped up in the speed department and power cut but BS guns so far in this kind of game are very sad if your only going to use ten guns which is more like a cruiser than a real BS they need a great deal more power ..and the ability to fire in different intervals and there should be anti fighter guns and defence missles thats the only thing i didnt like about CF was the fact that BS is useless ,, but it doesnt have to be theres so much area that can be covered seriuosly the BS could be held in system unless theres a war then it could be escorted around by 3 or 4 escorts which is real world thinking .... ok ive talked enough and probably said more than enough lol but you said ideas i think that an all community mod should be put together ...getting permissions might be hard for some to think about giving up but you know if it brings people back to the community isnt that what the goal should be???

idea:
background: i can't exactly remember what game i used to play that i was able to take escort missions... (DS1, Tachyon: The Fringe, maybe X3).

for consideration: dock at station/planet, go to bar, click on various people in the bar (like frieghter pilots), they offer you an escort job for so many credits.

possible problem: the escort mission will enact "pirate" NPCs to attack which could effect players rep with that faction. i know most people don't like messing with their rep because it limits where they can dock later. maybe a way to not allow rep to take a hit?

possible opportunity: pirate clans (SMG, Fallen, LP, etc.) can sit outside planets/stations and wait for players to undock and see they have joined an escort then attack the escort mission directly and turn the mission into a RP scenario.

i know from conversations i've had with Gunny, Michael, and Lucy that RP has been lacking lately and we've taken steps to improve that but this would add a new element to RP. please let me know what you think and if this is even possible.

Imagine a mod, with the features of CF, Hambourg city, BSG, void, shattered worlds, and all other mods, in ONE server.
Imagine having the ships of discovery, of void, of CF, of BSG, of hambourg, in ONE server
Imagine having the dom kavash guns, the vulcans of void, the coalition gattlings, the all other guns, in ONE server.

why not all cooperate ? all servers, all modders, all dev teams, all donators, all contributors, in ONE Discussion in forums or MSN, discussing about server lag, about FL gameplay, about FL balance....

I can't give any money or help here, i am too young to give enough money for running a server.

Why not close all servers
why not close all mods
why not creating ONLY one server like it is on EVE online, with all the mods features, with all the systems known in FL modding, in guns, commodities, ships etc....

wouldn't be a BOOM for FL life? wouldn't it stand AGAINST new games such as Jumpaget evolution and EVE online 5 more years ? and all this FREE cause i think it would be easier running one server, cause all admins would pay same fee to run it, so imagine a fee divided per 15 or 10
wouldn't it be ALL beneficts ?

I'll see if you accept it, cause you have a far better experience about whats goin on FL MP life, about admins and such, i'll see what you say if it will be possible or not, if all modders can stand in one table (or msn or forums window) discussing without disrespect.

Yes that is a great idea but it has one flaw: the co operation of all the admins from the other servers

someone will want to be the main admin and there would be arguements which would possibly lead to the destruction of the FL community

but still it would be the ideal outcome
