LR meeting

Exactly how viable is Blaster's option?

Have you guys started putting yourselves out there (advertising) on other servers as alternatives to LR? Because (as I see it. Feel free to ignore me since I haven't been around in a while, this is just an outsiders POV) thats the only way this is ever going to get resolved, right?

One, or the other of you, has to have results. Having been using both LR and SWAT for a number of years (although SWAT has recently changed to being much better then it was before, going into every game much more aggresively), both of you guys had great potential to start with.

SWAT, however, is ahead in this, because TLR is making fools out've themselves. Or at least being ridiculously silly, which is percieved as the same thing ^_^.

So yeah. Don't remember where I was going with this, other then TELL people about yourselves. S'the only way anythings gonna change.

Sorry I missed THIS meeting. But not to sound like a suck up, I stand by Op's idea of unifing the FreeLancer Communities (FLC). And I believe someone here (so much to read.... .....) mentioned that perhaps a meeting of all the major (or not so major?) Admins needs to take place.

Perhaps this meeting with LR can be recycled as a "Wake up meeting" or "An Awaking" meeting. Any way you cut it, I stand with OP and the CF community.

As with any project, Apollo, most of it most likely is being done under cover of secracy. But as you say, nothing is apparent as of yet.

But something has occured to me and I'd like some input here if it's aleight with OP. This borders on the present discussion topic. If any players frequent other Mod Forums I'd like to hear which side of the street the other FL communties are sitting on.

I know that the Void is siding with Lancer for the most part and NQ is, well saying nothing.

maybe one e-mail inviting those admins to visit swat-portal, and a board to admins to discuss these matter would be a good ideia.

I think you just have to write one general letter, and maybe we all can invite those admins to visit us.

would be good to see a discussion here, and set a deth line to take a decision, or ppl will spend the time with usless discussion.

Post the letter here OP, if u like we will handle the send and reply and/or postings in their forums to hold you free from this as an offer.

We can use TLR and Cryospheres main Pageing to get the contact eMails for the most interesting MODS.

I dont have any skills at PC stuff but I have decent letter writing abilities.

I will have a sample letter put together by tommorro evening (PST). I will post it here and the community can add or change as they like. Together I am sure we can make a very good and respectful letter.

Once a letter is produced then we will need some translators for some of the non English speaking mods.

If someone can gather the mod names, admin names and contact addresses and post them here this will help us to make this work much faster.

Or OP would you like us to make a different thread for this project?

I myself have had a disagreement with LD in which LD was being a complete ASSHOLE sorry if that was not allowed.

So what I did to fix it was contact BP and he contacted LD which contacted me and LD & I went back and forth until I found the truth about LD. LD is a control freak I dont care much for LD in-fact I was going to make my own SDK for FL with a lot more fixes then LD and put it up for D/L and open to everyone. LD wanted to control the SDK because LD needed to know who was using it, and how often they used it. I asked WHY if your in it for the good of the community? LD why control something that about every mod uses to make mods with, which is a big part of the FL community and FL staying alive. At that point LD did not care it was LD's creation and no one was allowed to use it unless he knew about it. How LD would know who uses it is beyond me.

I wrote BP back with the E-mails received as well as the fight we had on TLR forums. Something happened and LD seemed to back off. Which I feel to this day was BP working his magic.

Now I would only agree to TLR being under BP's control, as he seems to be the one with FL community in mind.

Can you bring that to the table OP? We want BP over the TLR site and operation. I feel BP is very trustworthy myself, and a good man.

Thanks to FlyByU for sending this info to our site. Your thoughts about the events that transpired at the meeting match ours fairly close. TLR had a chance from the votes at the meeting, now with their long silence, that chance has dwindled.

I am glad I am not the only one seeing a dictator trying to grab all the power. Not that I want to split the community, quite the opposite.
