    i am not writing from the sight of a programmer just from a customer/player. I dont need to get the installation back! A backup takes me too much place in the harddrive and even if I would like to go back i would do a new installation anyway.

    ok, nsis will b my 1st choice then, but it may lack support for some install options, since it is rather basic as an installer. will check, report, so we can decide best.


    two questions:
    1. have u tried making a standalone cf installation in it before?
    2. any deadlines?

    backup will b only an option. ofc it makes no sense keeping backups if u only use cf - i personally even uninstall flmm after setting cf working, so i keep only fl w/ applied mod. but, support for it would b a nice addition for some ppl, so i will built it in as an option.

    the current cf installer is in nsis
    and just alone the script that is used to create the exe installer is 1mb big for cf1.7


    there are no real deadlines... i still need much time for CF1.8 and haegar does also need his time for the new tools

    No it hasn't. Try finding best path from, let's say Arena to umm... New York or Custodian.
