Welcome back mate
Have fun with CF 2.0, it's awesome -
Hi! I first played in multiplayer, the game sometimes lags behind the time when I make a shot, I see the result after 5-10 seconds, how to fix it?
-
it could be you graphics card or system not powerful enough (ram) buddy, try changing the shader options in the crossfire launcher to vanilla fl or no selection.. hope this helps you buddy..

Quote from Drakon on SC site
I helped the SWAT team out a little bit years back on an earlier version of the mod and must say that it's quite spectacular. Crossfire was my Freelancer mod of choice from 2006 through 2011 - with some breaks taken along the way to focus on other games and try out a few other mods, granted. Picking up vanilla Freelancer now makes me feel like it's a prequel to CF more than CF itself being a mod.
For those who are unfamiliar with it, Crossfire builds onto the original game through an extension of the storyline that takes you back to Sol, the Eastern Coalition in a different sector, ongoing frays with the Nomads, and further yet to ultimately come into contact with the Dom'Kavash - along with rival alien civilizations in which they are embattled.
There are also some new things to find in Sirius, including jump holes, backwater systems, a net of commandeered Nomad jump gates leading to other systems that humanity proceeded to colonize, a handful of old vendors offering high-tier gear, and so on - with more of the added content than not feeling like it meshes well with the original game. It is definitely worth a try if you're on the fence right now.
Personally, I left the community a long time ago but will certainly download it sometime and give it a spin if Singleplayer is still functional. It's crazy that this game is now out - once upon a time it honestly just seemed like a pipe-dream the OP-R8R wanted to bring into being someday. Congratulations are in order and I am sure he is quite elated to have come so very far with this project!
Found this by coincidence when googled for some CF things. As Drakon was mentioned in Credits_ as CF short stories writer, I found this one interesting.

there is a 2nd side mission?
... ups, did I spoiled something? ...
-
Frankly, i dont even get to play the first side mission ...
-
yes, a 2nd side mission was released with the final version of CF 2.0
download link here at the portal got updated... a moddb release will follow within 24 hours.
The full/final version contains by default all patches... including the latest launcher build which should minimize problems with it.
It comes with 4 new shader options, 2 new ships and one new bonus mission. The mod installer got completely rebuild from the scratch and is alot more reliable as it does countless of additional settings to ensure that Crossfire is running perfectly on all windows versions (including win10... which required us to do some adjustments).
Alot of the experience we made during the CF 2.0 beta flew in the new version and we tried to fix problems already before they might happen. -
It comes with 4 new shader options
So if we don't have these shaders we should reinstall with new version ? -
-
a reinstall is not required. We probably will hand out that in a separated update here or over the launcher. All required files for this are currently on your system if you received the latest updates a few weeks ago.
-
Renaming launcher.ini to launcher.old.ini worked.
AND someone put the Trade Lanes on fire -
Hello to all, help needed !
I experienced the same problem as Cryssalex described some posts ago: I get stuck on Mission 12, Planet Toledo.
Right after docking, my Eagle ( bought from a vanilla FL system) and all the weapons, all upgrades disappeared, I landed with a basically equipped starflyer
At once, I made a jump to Lvl 66 , think this is explained by the money I´ve earned due to expended podding in Manchester ( got some 90 millions Creds, the money is still there).
I can´t get any mission in the bar, there is no sequence in which I hand over the power cell etc..
And what I ´ve discovered is that I don´t have ANY reputation, neither positive nor negative, starting with the faction "Kusari State Police" till to the "Gas Miners Guild".What did I do wrong ? Some players geave me the advice that I should not visit CF systems or buy CF ships before the storyline gives me the chance to do this.
So I didn´t. The Eagle and the upgrades and weapons, including the codename weapons, are bought and collected in systems which I could reach without tricking around.
Nevertheless, I got stuck at Toledo, I can´t get a mission, I can´t make any progress in the campaign, I can´t even buy me a f***ing MargheritaSo, what to do ? Starting new ? Or loading mission xx and buying another ship, selling / deactivating the big guns ? Crashing my head onto the keyboard and hoping the best ?

3 alcoholics only, in a whole universe ? Seems like there is a need for another highly perishable commodity which can make you rich, drunken or both -
you can mix them with each other.... that makes 7 good methods to get drunk in cockpit
