i say close this thread and play the game as you can because you could not play it anymore.

to answer your questions about the server... i said it would go offline when im running out of money for the server and that was 2 months ago

How is that even possible with more than 8 serverclans? Excuse my mathematical ignorance if I get this wrong, but you need at least 8 serverclans and 9 euro's out of you're own pocket to keep the server running. If, the server is 169 as you said somewhere before.

Now I didn't add some of the clans that I haven't seen in a while and I have excluded BG.
Tell me, does my math suck, do clans claim systems without paying, did they forget to pay, or were you to lazy to even try and remind them? Maybe you didn't give them the stuff you promised them, like a simple system banner, a line in the launcher or a line on the CF page?

Anywayz OP is right, SWAT and BG used to be one of the most feared clans and portals in the games it supported. It all got shot to hell when it went public, some (not all) clans and people on this server are a parasite, they move from server to server, think they have a right to say anything coz they put in a few posts on the forum and chip in a little bit of cash now and then, not enough but just enough so they have a right of saying 'hey i help'.

The fact is that no-one else then the SWAT admins own this board, the server, the mod,... so why don't you respect his oppinion and actions and be glad your allowed to be here.

im sorry but ive been here over a year now and i dont recognize you Riconushin, so opinion means nothing to me, that is unless you have changed your CF name for a reason. 20euros a month to rent a system within CF , to me, means i do have the right to play there unless the Admin deam i have broken server rules and decide to ban me.

btw, to the rest of the forum users, im not starting yet another flame here but i hate unqualified accusations, that may just be opinion, that arent backed up by proof.

ive been SP here for long enough to see many clans/players come and go. witnessed the sometimes endless arguments, and helped settle them. i have done my utmost to preserve the RP, as have numerous others. the RP here is far better than on many servers i have visited.

Anyway as far as i can see my comments, and yours Riconushin, are a waste of time. The server looks like it will be shutdown shortly and the forums will go private to SWAT.

With this in mind i declare that UAC will no longer be a serverclan on Crossfire. I'm sorry but with such a definitively short run til the end of the mod, my First online FL expreience, im left feeling cold and numb. ive made many friends and had a great experience here, just a shame it seems like it will end before its time. after the GBS is shut down this is the place i would have stayed, and tried my damnest to bring others.

OP, im not going to question your reasons, they are yours and yours alone.

As far as I remem - OP said he would keep the server running as long as it is paid for - so clan leaders, IF they want to stay need to cough up.

I dont mind all that - but then I only be reading stuff for 1.5 years on the forum, not like the 20 or so years OPs been reading all of our bullshit - but also sometimes good banter and good community spirit and some laughs.

People can only shovel shit for so long before they say - that's enough - I am off!!

Bloody OP has created this mod that I first found on LR years ago and nurtered a community which has consumed many hours of my life.

I think my Mrs want to put a bounty on him - watch out for it on Bounty Board

I dont see why is all that needed (things to be slowly shutted down).

From the time i stopped playing, what i hear is, there are many new players, server is quite busy now, all clans prosper.

What i personally see is increased interest from new players to join clans - like example DC clan page been visited by more and more ppl and i'm sure other clans experiance the same.

Would it not be better to deal with the problems, solve them and start doing something for the community instead sitting around and agreeing to the death of all this here?

Work can be done to show that people still care. Trust can be re-earned. Problems can be solved. Tell me if I am wrong with that or tell me that you will not give up.

excuse me but you dont even play here far as im concerned. ultimately its the admins' decision. it looks like its been made, end of story.

yes lots of ppl will be disheartened with this but theres not alot you can do about that. all good things come to an end.

sorry if it sounds like ive accepted the fate of the server, but i can only go off of what ive been told, what ive read and what ive witnessed.

OP has stated his feelings, his reasons and his goals. no one can argue that, and i respect that.

It's a pity that you already gave up. If all people here think this way then everything is lost. If not then there is at least a chance. Decide to fight or decide to die.

Find out what the problems are and deal with them, and if fail you still can say that you tried and did your best. What do you have to loose other than that what you loose if you do nothing?

So, how do you know there are not people here trying to solve problems? Oh go ahead and say, "Gunny you should be in the server, helping the community". So before you do, let me assure you, I probably have more hours in CF than ANYONE currently on this forum, excluding Op.

Not to mention MOST of my time in the server is dedicated to solving issues, pushing rp, getting new players up and running, all the while turning over my clan to my XO, since I don't have time to play that much.

Myself, Doppleganger, Huor and many others do in fact bust our ass in here day in and day out, in game and on this forum.

So tell me, aside from talking alot, what solutions do you have? Please tell me so I can do my job better.
