What IOC was doing was their job according to the ASF/CSF rp in which LP is CSF. IOC is ASF. New Berlin is ASF space. ASF is obliged to kill all CSF in ASF space. CSF is obliged to kill all ASF that are in CSF space. I can assure you m8 that it is nothing personal or against LP. We are doing the rp required by ASF/CSF rp rules. We are working very hard to promote rp. If you dont want to be killed then stay out of ASF space because if you are in ASF space the rp obliges us to kill you. If you are not clear about ASF/CSF rp then please read those threads and ask LP leadership about it.

IOC does not spawn kill. You will have your 6 seconds to escape or fight according to the rules. IOC does not cheat.

btw m8 you owe an apology to Dark_Angel. It is not his fault if you do not understand the RP rules.

LP are CSF, IOC are ASF. New Berlin is ASF teritory, whats your problem? the ASF/CSF RP has been underway for some time now, as such you should have your licenses mounted. most ppl allow 5 seconds after launch to start attacking. your clan mates opinions on what IOC may have done is no proof of what they really would have done if you had launched.

Defeinition of camping- leaving a char strategically placed in a system to your advantage, but changing to another char until that one is required. this is not allowed on wrecks but as an RP tool why not. how many times would someone warn you of attack if it loses them the advantage?

this is the kind or RP the ASF/CSF is here for, that you are complaining is lacking. doesnt make sense to me

this kind of ill imformed post is the kind of thing that is leading a reduction in RP. please read the rules on the ASF/CSF RP before "jumping the gun".

IOC have done nothing wrong, they were defending ASF territory from CSF invaders. Quite simple really.

Burro and Dopple pretty much covered it all, but I would like to add that the restored features from before the new server (in this upcoming 1.7) will kick-start the ASF-CSF RP so that it's more common-place and universal on the server. If people show enthusiasm with it, along with their clan RPs, then perhaps the level of RP will finally surpass the high level it was at a few months ago

I might add, with the cheat protections in CF 1.7 restored, along with other console functions, anyone who REALLY dockrapes will get fined, kicked or both, and this will be accompanied by a system-wide console announcement. This way, there is never a question of wheter it was technically a dock-kill or not. As far as I can tell, if a ship has active shields, it has officially launched, and is fair game; same is true for landing, a ship has shields up to the point where the AI takes over with the animation. No dock kill up to that point.

I think a greater question here is "When do I get to be a pirate, if I'm always concerned about ASF?" Well, there are freelancers and non-pirate clans in CSF space, so that is where LP needs to play pirate. Or, LP can do pirate RP in ASF space, where they are not being hunted by ASF at that moment. This goes for all roles on the server; just keep in mind, as soon as a CSF ship appears in ASF space, they have a limited number of minutes before they are in an ASF pilot's gunsights!

Most of the most profitable train routes are in CSF space, anyway, so no CSF pilot has anything to complain about. See your clan leaders for instruction on server RP, if you are confused about ASF/CSF; they should have been here long enough to know how it all works by now... [11]

With the dynamic economy, which side has the best routes will change daily though keep in mind

Regardless of being in ASF or CSF space, dockraping (if it happens) is not permissible by the rules. End of subject.

Any opposing faction that is in the opponents space is fair game with no warning required. End of that subject.

In a WarZone, warning is required before action ensues.

If you want a good example of RP as a pirate and CSF., talk to Amos. He does an excellent job of both.

this whole ASF csf RP is nice, but the fact is it does take away from other aspects of normal RP, like say, MW's blockade in NB. MW is not CSF, but we are fired upon as if we are. (We are not affiliated with this RP at this time.)

where is the mention of dock raping?
where is the evidence to sustantiate this acusation?
where were the instances in the replies "going off the handle"?
all these replies are doing is directing you toward the answers you were looking for m8. correcting you on a few issues that you were ill-imformed about. and as you say in your opening thread there is no proof to substantiate any claim that IOC were there to "dock rape" you. i think you may have taken the replies as hostile, they arent. they are just trying to be constructive. to accurately comment on a subject you must know all the relevant information, which you did not posses. your understanding of things lead you to believe there should be an investigation from the SP's. where there is no need for this. thats just asking for somebodies negative reaction, even though you have recieved none.

i dont think any of the replies where "flying off the handle". and if thats the way you reacted to them i am sorry, but that isnt my problem. if you dont know the rules and then go comment on certain aspects of them then you should expect criticism.

BTW. nobody wants you to leave the server, thats a personal choice. but why would you take criticism as a reason for leaving? we only offer constructive criticism after all.

i agree with gunny, but my clan is being neutral for reasons i have already said, but i can repeat them now just for clarfication

1. we r a Order clan, so we arent really meant to be hostile to any1. for the real Order faction, they r neutral to all other factions because they have pilots froom all over the galaxy. this may not be the same for us, but we r neutral because it isnt our focus to kill other players.

2. we r a very small clan (2 ppl only) so we cannot really engage in large scale fights.

3. (this is mroe recent) since some ppl have been constantly asking us why we r neutral (and because of infrations), we r going to stay neutral for longer.

though we r neutral, i think this new stuff with other clans is good, but it isnt honorable when ppl kill each other for no reason and say it is for "RP". an esamplpe would be when a wingman of mine was killed when trying to leave X3043. he was killed instantly for no logical reason. (the reason i got was stupid) and so ppl need to think twice (or more as RGhawk said) so there can be good RP when playinig here

Well, imao he did mention dockraping, said he didn't have any screens to prove it, and probably mistook the critecism as hostility (sometimes it's hard to tell the difference).

sorry m8 but i cant see the mention of dock rape, only an insinuation that it was intentional. by this he said that IOC were camping above the NB docking ring. they were guarding ASF territory. who's to say what thier intention was? not i, only those involved.

I don't think they would dock rape you. You could try to launch in space and prove that they would but you didn't. Maybe because it's easier to accuse without proof?

I don't think anybody want you to leave the server. And the comments are not hostile - all the ppl who posted here were trying to tell you what the current RP situation in CF is and why IOC is patroling in ASF space.

Hey man, no need to leave m8. Some of the more experienced players forget what its like to be the new guy. They dont mean to P you off, they probably just get tired of hearing the same question all the time from noobs like us.

As a newbie I can understand why sieto got offended by some of the responses. I'm not too familliar with where CSF space ends and ASF space begins, myself. (except I know New Berlin).

Newbies do need helpful info from time to time.

You have accused IOC unfairly. Dark_Angel has no need to spawnkill. He has the skills to kill you fair and square.

And about camping. Lp does not keep sentry ships in Daedalus? I know IOC has sentry ships in Cassius. and when intruder enters Cassius we f1 directly to Cassius to defend it. So does every other serverclan for their own systems. That would be considered camping by the example you have given. Or do you mean camping is waiting outside of a planet for someone? Waiting for someone is not camping m8. Again this is not meant to offend m8. Just trying to help. It wasnt that long ago when I was a newer player.

Perhaps people are giving you wrong information about the rules. If you have questions about whether something is allowed or not, ask LP leadership or the ServerPolice. They will give correct info.

Last thing, IOC or LP are not villians or enemies. We are all friends playing a game. Ask Amos, he will tell you that he and I are good m8's as I would say the same about my good friend Amos.
