your all a pain in the butt, but thats RP, doesnt stop us being mates, Im good freinds with Az mostly, we have a good laugh, and he teases me badly. and i just love to shoot his trains hull down to 1% then let him run away to make expensive repairs, lol.

Saxon is quite right.
He has a few times attacked my train, within an inch of its life and could have completed the job - but didnt.
He can laugh about this but I didnt find it that funny cos I am relatively new to flying a train and to RP.
The RP concept can be difficult to grasp for some of us (Me included) and Saxon certainly taught me a few things about it and how to handle it.
Let's just say if he didnt attack I would not have had that bit of excitement and learned to fly me train with more confidence.
And when I think Saxon goes too far - well I just think of ways to get him back (using the ASF/CSF rules of engagment) and then post bounties on him on the IOC forum (did I just write that?)
Sieto - no doubt the pirates life is a hard one being a natural enemy to the whole online community - but its nice to have u guys online - and apologies when we take things too far mate

@OP - sure delete it, we are coming together as a community, we are showing its best to air the problems, talk to each other, resolve the issues, and become a community of hardened crossfire players.
let us be. hell ive helped keep a few few people on crossfire by talking on these forums, and in the LP forum, people who would have left the server, and now they are staying, and they have a better idea of how to handle the conflicts and issues that arise when there are difficulties, rather than just let them go and get worse.
im doing my bit for the stability of the community. but only you can let this happen, if you dont want it to happen, sure delete it, and expect the consequences to be the same crap stuff that you hate hearing about reappearing all over again. This thread was becoming very constructive, and good was coming from it.
i urge you to reconsider what youve said please.

Dopp is absolutely amazing at escaping me in his train. have a chat with him m8. but you did well getting away from me ;D, Arrr me parrot was jumping up and down and everything.
Az, as a pirate i understand for a trader its never funny being attacked in your train, but as a pirate i have to do this, its my job, otherwise i may aswell not be a pirate. its never anything personal, hell your a mate.
As a trader, remember that aswell as doing the ASF thing, you can also call upon police , bg etc... so really, when i attack you, im going to really have my hands full afterwards. you always get the sweet revenge, not me. i just have to get you back when the opportunity arises next, whereas you can do it anytime. thus pirates are at a disadvantage, and have a hard life. 
much harder than a traders life who get attacked by pirates. for pirates, smuggling is very risky, i've lost total 3-400 mil in getting blown up by police and BG. and my spending on weapons is around 10 mil a week. us pirates need to make tax to survive. it help if people pay tax please.
please pay tax for the pirates, we need to buy parrots because some police and BG kill our parrots in battle. Save the parrots, please dont make them an endangered species

accepted, and yes agree with you, most likely nothing will change on the issues, they have only the attitude they have can change 
like mine did. i had my fair share of problems too, but talking helped overcome them.

Like it or not, it has to be done. As long as there are new people coming to CF (may THAT never stop!), there will be people who are unfamiliar with our style of server RP. I have a clear picture of what it should be on CF, but my picture is not the same as OP's picture. So it is no surprise that even verteran CF players are not all clear about it either.
I can appreciate how tedious this all is for OP, since I spend a fair amount of time answering questions and explaining why the RP works the way it does, despite having done a public poll and posted a long series of informational threads, which few players are inclined to read. But as much as it irritates me to do it, I am willing to explain and/or demonstrate this RP to any and everyone, until we finally have enough people just playing it that it is functioning properly, as second nature.
The server RP is a "sea change" in MY Crossfire gaming experience as much as any other player, but the rewards are worth the investment, especially since I have my own clan to protect from the boredom that seems to set in to every player over time. Without the server RP, each clan is acting the part of a freelancer, in a sense, without any larger goal or purpose. This RP gives the clans a more direct way to both compete and cooperate, at the same time.
My personal failing in the whole thing, as I read it from other players here, is that I do not do enough (or any, usually) verbal RP, talking smack and the like, along with my PvP. I seem to get a better response when I offer even as much as "CSF must die" before I attack.
While I can appreciate that it does engage other players on a more personal level, it also softens the tactical edge of surprise in battle. Attacking without warning preserves the atmosphere of danger that is painfully lacking in the game, especially for more experienced players, and I submit that this is exactly what is needed to make it worth playing! Each day should be fraught with risk, so that even an experienced player can once again feel the pulse quicken, as they did when they were noob freelancers in a new and dangerous galaxy...
I found out when the last time the server was not online - some people took the opp to discuss Crossfire when they could not play it.
Although many of us knew the things we were discussing were impossible/improbable, it was good to talk to other members of this community on the forum and talk about our favourite pastime - Crossfire.
Also in some ways this forum is quite active, some posts are repeated endelessly, and if u r here long enough, u have seen it all b4. This could be a positive sign, showing there is a healthy influx of new players, asking those same damn questions, and not bothering to look for anything themselves!!
In terms of RP, I prefer an approach where opponents are warned b4 engagement in PVP cos that does two things
Allows you to get to know someone from another clan
Enhances the RP
Belive it or not, some people dont know about the ASF/CSF RP (even if their clan is) and it is prob better not to PVP these people - you could let them off with a warning - advising them to talk to their leaders about ASF/CSF.
The conseq may not always lead to a PVP match but could lead to some intersting situations further along.
Otherwise we could all PVP each other in Arena or Dublin
Those people who have been warned and spoken to about ASF/CSF and they still 'Invade' you space spreading discord and mistrust, creating mischief and terrorising your citizens - no point taking a softly softly approach with them.
Unless its more fun to do so.

Pirates and Freelancers both have the issues with learning the RP, as you can see how the topic started.
yeah i doubt the RP is anywhere near as exiting on other servers, i wouldnt not know because ive not been to more than 1 vanilla freelancer server before. But, the RP here can get your heart racing IF enough people cast aside there fears of losing money and dying and engage in the RP, and accept, this is probly the harshest of RP servers out there. and i love the RP here. Its just a shame sometimes theres a lack of police, i've only been chased 2 times. If Gunny is reading, im going to steal a Shroud and kill you with it m8. lol, as that CD slot has been fixed, in 1.7 its worth me making it my Police killing ship now. that should wind him up [8]
Well Saxon - u and your cronies better stay out of London as I live there and at recent tennants meetings - we are all fed up about the increasing crime levels.
My mum is thinking of leaving and its a shame cos we live here for so long.
If you dont stay away (I mean pirates and other miscreats) then we will have to hire our own police and mercs to keep u out.
In terms of ASF/CSF - it may help people to get into the 'mood' if we post some lines to use on the forums.
1. CSF invader - you have been spreading filthy CSF lies in ASF space for the last 10 mins (I have been monitoring you) - the bounty on your head has now risen to 20Mill - and my kids need new shoes.
2. CSF pilot - u have done well to get though our outer defenses thus far, despite our earlier warnings. There are 6 nemesis missiles currently headed in your direction - call again.
