I will like to state that this relates to CFPD. I naturally put this question to Gunny first. I wanted to know can a CFPD member say no to fight pirates who are outnumbering poor traders ? This happened with a new recruit in CFPD clan. I was also refused help by BG. I wanted to know if CFPD and BG are here just to catch and shoot poor smugglers in trains 
P.S. It was a freelancer pirate

I am sorry to hear of your sad story.
In reality there could be numerous reasons why CFPD/BG are unable to help a trader that asks for it - maybe in your case the CFPD was new (as you say) or any other reason.
In space pirates attack all sorts of people, sometimes with no warning. If I was you I would note who did it and make sure they pay for their impertiance next time you see them - hire a merc to take them out, hire some escorts to protect your valuable cargo.
This freelancer pirate challenged your rights to fly where you want and you should take the next step - you cant always rely on the fuzz.
I look forward to seeing a post on the forums (bounty - wanted dead?) about this and then a screenshot when this miscreant is served revenge...
As for your point re RP for BG and CFPD - let them respond but they cant be everywhere and do everything, remem they are people with their own plans
Hey, there's some good mercs around CF, just put a bounty on the guy, ar hire some mercs, I think they will not let you down.
(oh, I forgot, IOC are mostly mercs, lol).
And BG as militarys have not the duty of hunt pirates (I think) that's police work.
Maybe they don't have to but they still do...
most time ppl only cry that they got attacked in a system far far away.
1. i cannot change what happened
2. i dont have ships everywhere, so i cannot switch to you
3. we help ppl, for that we have your system Custodian where ppl who just started are protected
4. the most time i am fighting, so when someone asks me a question or wants something i cant take care of it, nor answer (most time i am so focused on the fight that i will foget it imidiatly *g*)
5. sometimes ppl get attacked cos they are at the wrong time at the wrong place, dont take personally
Any pilot who needs protection in ASF space , and is willing to pay a modest fee, may call on any IOC pilot for such service. Keep in mind IOC pilots are basically all freelancers, as well, and may be occupied with another contract, but in general, you should get a positive response. The escort fee will apply for the contractors' online session only, but applies to all ASF space, and all threats to the contractor, whether NPC or PvP. $5 million is a modest fee for such service... 
Refer to the ASF/CSF system map in the Roleplay forum to identify ASF systems.
rofl... you can pay an IOC merc 5 mil, and it might help you... the pirat MIGHT not to be able to blow you to hell before the merc can stop him.
you could just pay the 1-10 mil that the pirat asks for, or you could ask MW for help. as long as were allies, i think we'll pop other pirats for you... with some exceptions.
@ Cartman yes you will pop other pirates for the fun but i ask you:
what if your prioraties change?
what if the other pirate pays you or your leader?
in fact what if you just kill your charge on a whim?
^^^none of these are unfounded or without precident^^
dont take it wrong mate i like you and yours but for the freelancers who may ask your help, I feel they should have a reasonable spread of possibilaties to make an infomed desicion
As you know, CFPD is freakin huge...I mean there are so many members, I lost count..... 
So which one of us FOUR denied you assistance?

oh, yeah si, im talkin about GK. blur allied with em so i cant pop em. any freighting freelancer... well if there trying to run the blockade then ill help them... right now im looking into some new trade route blocks. well see..
you might want to look at what you are running. if you say you are smuggling then if CFPD or BG come running to help you, you will just end up with someone else trying to distroy your cargo or kill ya.
unless you happen to be a genious, in which case, you might call the cops on some pirats, stall the pirats, wait for em to show up and start poppin off at eachother, and then make an enterprising break for it, hoping that neither rolls up on you after the fight demanding money or your death.
Heat from CFPD said no and stood with pirate to shoot at me. I saw this and flew away from them. I have already asked some guys to help whose names I will not take and I am sure they have the firepower and manpower to rip that pirate apart
One more thing I would like to address is that the BG guy who is my personal friend responded to me with a "NO" saying that there were three pirates in that sysytem at that time

@ Supercars, Heat is Russian so he tends to find some english hard to understand. Keep it basic and he'll understand easier. Heat is the kinda guy you want on your side, a killer pilot. Indeed i'll be hopeing he dont come after me.!. Hes also not new to CF, he online a hell of a lot.
