    INCOMING MESSAGE

From: Deep Space 17, "Ajay", Coalition Acting Chief Intelligence Officer of DS17

To: Coalition HQ, "Canteen", Intelligence Advisor of Alien Threats Department of CID

    Topic: Enemy force concentration

Recently deployed intelligence network in Mepther reports Dom'Razak and Warrior forces concentration in the northwestern part of the system. I propose launching a sudden raid on their positions to thin their numbers and force them into disarray.

According to our simulations, the most efficient way to do that would be with an attack of two units. The first unit, either an all-fighter or a combined force, should head into the area from the direction of Ryssk gate. This should divert the enemy forces to respond on that attack. Once first group ties up the enemy units, the second unit (minimal size: 1 Battleship - I propose K-719) exploits the diversion. Before the first unit attacks, the second unit should be waiting in Pyrddra system near Mepther gates.

Other details will be worked out on-site. I propose to call this Operation "Wretched Weaponry". Requesting authorization.

  • Oh, do you now ?

Little remains: but every hour is saved

From that eternal silence, something more,

A bringer of new things; and vile it were

For some three suns to store and hoard myself,

And this gray spirit yearning in desire

To follow knowledge like a sinking star,

Beyond the utmost bound of human thought."

  • I've actually been sitting on that reference for about two months.

Actually I had second thoughts about this event, but now I am considering another one. And probably a regular alien smacking in Venn as a follow up to this one (I even have a name for it: Operation "Wretched Weaponry").

(Granted, I decided to do that operation in Mepther rather than Venn. Just because.)

  • Wretched weaponry indeed...

Okay, I actually didn't watch that show, but World of Warships had a collab with it at one point...

Back to topic. As with Survivals, I plan to use Discord for coordination.

Well. I do agree that there is too much of a sexual exhibition of the characters in the anime, but its not too much more than what you would usually find in an anime from the last few years. You should watch it, if you are WW nut. :D :)

Eh, that's right... at this point I don't really mind fanservice as long as it isn't over the top. And at least AoBS seems to be slightly more wholesome than KanColle and a whole lot more wholesome than AL. I'm more into all those references though. There's a reason there's either an AL or KC discussion thread going on WoWS forums.

And speaking about the event in question - I wonder how many people will show up.

    AFTER ACTION REPORT:

The first group of Sirius freelancers started moving out from Deep Space 17 10 minutes prior to designated operation start time. However, the First Unit has encountered severe resistance on its way to the operation area, so Second Unit (CNS K-719) launched an attack. However, K-719 found only 3 enemy battlegroups in targeted area. After rendezvousing near the Repair Buoy, both units headed to Ryssk gates.

As it turned out, the enemy fleet that was the target of this operation has already moved out towards Ryssk, and the combined assault group managed to locate and engage the Warriors' and Dom'Razak's rearguard. That caused parts of the fleet to turn back and try to hold us back. As a result, the Dom'Razak and Warriors had to engage us with from one to three battlegroups at a time, which made them more manageable. Comparing footage from the battle with the reports of our intelligence network, we estimate that we either destroyed or crippled every battlegroup in the targeted fleet.

Looks like we foiled an attack similar to one that resulted in us having to launch operation "Restoring Health". This proves an importance of the intelligence network we created this summer.

On this note we can conclude operation "Wretched Weaponry" a success.

    OUT OF UNIVERSE:

Well, I've nothing else to say but this: Thanks for coming, guys! I'm really happy we still can pull something like this out.

  • Well, we didn't have many peeps out there (and I think almost everyone got dunked on at least once), but it was indeed fun.

I'm planning another Survival as a next event, 20th September. Or maybe even launch another Assault this Sunday.
