  • So, after what feels like forever, I tried reinstalling Crossfire ( on a fresh install ofcourse ) did everything according to the FAQ's and various Topics here on the Forum itself.

    After installing, started FL, worked fine, put on Crossfire through FLMM, worked fine aswell, now Im at the point where it crashes with

    22:51:32.269 --> [i]:Prepare Crossfire Start

    22:51:32.847 --> [i]:Starting Crossfire

    22:51:32.950 --> [i]:Crossfire is running

    22:51:34.376 --> [x]:Crossfire Crash Exit - CODE ffffffffc06d007e [E000000D3]

    22:51:34.654 --> [i]:Crossfire was closed

    Tried with 3 different new installs, tried most everything here on the Forum, all through Firewalls and so on, now the weird thing I don't quite get is why I don't even have Shader Options nor the actual Options menu some other People seem to have, no possibility to change Shaders ( No Selection is active obv ) and no way to change my Particle Colours or anything, nor does the Launcher actually try to update anything, just tries to start and crashes both on SP and MP, been trying for the past... 5 Hours to get it working and nothing worked so far, any magic left here in the Forum that might not haven been mentioned ?

  • Hello torben11,

    the launcher requires .Net Framework and certain Visual C++ libraries to be present in your system. Make sure you had them ticked during Crossfire setup or installed separately.

    P.S. In case you have Windows 10 with the latest updates, try following the instructions here and using the file from this post.

    HTH

  • Don't even have a D3d11.dll xD

    Tried replacing the Kernelbase.dll, doesn't seem to change anything, let me play around with this for a second

  • @torben11 please how big is your Freelancer folder now? And what FLMM you used for mod activation?

    One link with similar issue:

    Game crash

    I guess there is more if you add crash code into search.

    .. you also do not need add any patches to vanilla freelancer, just base game installation, then mod install and activation via FLMM distributed with the mod (recomended).

  • So "Let me play with this a second" turned into a couple hour slug of completely resetting my Windows after *completely* bricking it, shouldnt have restarted the PC after replacing the Kernelbase...

    Addendum : Folder Size is 8,01 Size / 8,04 Size on Disk, both GB ofcourse, FLMM version was 1.31, further like I said, there is no D3d11 existing in the folder, its not blocked by any Antivirus or Firewall and its not trying to update.

  • can you try selecting the vanilla shader on the launcher options?

    Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • what is your windows version? (1809?)

  • I cant select any Shader options, it only sits on no selection and doesnt give me the option to actually change anything, I.E, the Dropdown menu only features "No Selection"

    As far as I can see I am running 17763

    Addendum : Nevermind, it is now downloading 1809, havent updated since reinstalling Windows.

  • Guys, pls continue talk here: Crossfire + Windows 10 build 1809
