1.62 is out

Dont reinstall and activate yet though. OP still has to upload the serverfiles to 1.62.

are we going to have a download link here?
im asking because i dont even want to download anything bigger than 30MB from LR. the reason is: it crashes my download almost everytime i want to download a mod

Well, the link is from SWAT portal though. I thought LR where goin to host the file download, really interesting...

Remember to check the CF server version before you change to 1.62 and also when everything is set, do a clean installation of FL game and then use the setup file which will place the mod in FLMM which should version 1.31 (no 1.4)

Question: is it suppesed for 1.62 to be in .exe file. why isnt it in .flmm file like all other mods?

1.62 is a .exe file instead pf a .zip.flmod because it has an installer built in

LR took the file out and for some reasoon the link got broken. However, I think it wasnt suppose to be like this. LR suppose to host the download file and no SWAT...

1.62 appears to have been pulled from Lancers...I'm guessing this might be because of where the file was set to download from (Swat-Portal), and as OP has said in another thread

Maybe it can be made available via password, in turns, to prevent everyone from dl'ing at once. Since money is an issue, perhaps clans could go first, then other players. (Clans pay rent on a monthly basis and could kick in an extra month's rent per clan or maybe an extra month's rent for each five members). That would help offset the bandwidth usage.

Then once the clans have all downloaded the goods, the rest could go, based on character level; Characters at lvl 60 and above one week, then 50, then 40, and so on.
This could spread out the downloading over a few weeks and get us into next month, which might help preserve Op's account so that the forum doesn't shut down.

I doubt it would work because everybody wants to get at the goodies NOW, but if neither LR nor OP can afford to make it freely available to the entire CF community at once, what are the options?

Sorry my ingorance (im just a nob here), but why dont use a torrent scheme for distribute mod crossfire ?
maybe for example take 6 seeds (and offer a gift to whom wanna seed the mod, lets talk about some credits, or a event like a race in his name ?, lol)
