.....about those major crashes that happend these past few days....what was the reason??...was it maybe, that someone didnt follow the instalation instructions?...or it was something totaly diffrent.....im just curious....

Well, we have 42 people on the servers and I just go back home from a long day with my wife family. Evrything is fine. I just have the same question than Bald...should I bother to keep the old ID or is everyone starting again from 0?

is a char wipe and u need to do a nice clean install again:)
Is my connection, or the download is really slow due to bandwidth usage? I mean, 15kb/s for an 1Mb connection is really slow....

I downloaded the new 1.61 and activated it but it does not work. I think i figured out the issue i need to delete fl folder reinstall fl and delete flmod folder and reinstall it. I did both i will check to see if that works. But i do think that i need a clean install for the mod to work.

If you're using a speedpad or other interface device, you need to shut down the associated editor or whatever software it uses to set up the key command profile. In my case, it's a Nostromo N50, which has a profile editor running most of the time, and links directly to FL. If it is not shut down, it interferes with the mod deactivation and FL uninstall! Your setup may be similar...
yep everthing uninstalled then all installed back on again
took me 4 hours of headaches and frustration
then all my fenwick chars gone 
same id but no chars
so OLDGIT is back
