How to play more then two mods at the same time (Simple Version plz)

Hmm I dont know, and I didn't actually post this up on the wrong account believing it was mine but didn't realize until now, no siree

Registry thingamagigs are not easy m8 did a bit of it in the old days and you really need to know your way about it.

The simplest way is more than one pc laptop or tablet ... u install what u want and then play..... on the same pc etc u can play a diffefent game along with CF FL ...

If u never played em they are a learning curve but the X Universe games ate good

Or get yourself a Steam iD u can down load and play a range of different games u choose what you like.

There is another way to play more than 1 FL mod on same pc but not easy. Need time explain later .

registry edit (from Huors guide, which is in portal FAQ) is simpler as you may think. Click on start button and type "regedit" it will show you regedit.exe .. start it. Now look on attached pictures.

• Open with this small arrow on the left side HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
• Check list and open key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
• Scroll down and open key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node
• Search for entry Freelancer mod manager (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Freelancer Mod Manager)
• Click on this entry "Freelancer Mod Manager" and look on right side, you should see what is inside (in attached screenshots)
• There you search for entry called "mods\Freelancer 2 - Crossfire"
• Select that entry and Right click with mouse and use choice "Delete"
• Done, FLMM now will show no mod installed and you can activate another mod

But wouldn't it delete the actual Crossfire Mod itself? and you have to spend another half hour trying to reload it?

You can delete that registry entry fine .. but you cant just install and play the new mod and then later go back to CF are you not going to end up with crossed files and end up crashing both mods. ?

You can install FL on an another PC, activate whatever mod you need there, then move the whole FL folder to your main PC. (FL can usually function without a proper installation. I have several mods on my PC that way beside CF - two russian SP mods and couple of Discovery versions)
Alternatively you can make FLMM to change the Freelancer directory it works with.
Also don't forget to change MyGames/Freelancer folder (I have one for each mod I have).

Huor's guide is basically about using backup vanilla Freelancer folder to make possibility activate unlimited amount of mods (you activate always on vanilla freelancer) and for play renaming folders with different activated mods (included save game folder). To play some mod you simply need only have it in folder "Freelancer" where was originally vanilla installed, and accordingly with save game folder.

Used this way for activate CF with different settings many times.

Martind and Ajay you have pretty much covered it ... what I do is much like what Ajay is doing ... using one pc...this though does not allow playing more than two mods at once.
