The only way I know of to transfer guns is to have someone help you transfer them.

AZ09 is right, that is the only way.

there is one other but risky way: go to a place without NPC-s (but players must be there), like Arena. throw ur guns into space, dock with planet, switch chars and undock. in case nobody of the players stole ur guns u should be able to loot them now from space again.

well, risky, like i said. because there are really mad ppl they loot ur guns, make PvP and get killed. so, guns gone. yes, happens, really.

... ask other player for help is not so hard ...

and fact is this is an online game
so interact with other players and get them transfered with their help (just like its done for 12 years meanwhile)

And asking a poor player for help in transfer is a nice excuse to support them with a small amount of starting credits....
