Quick question, do you use wifi ?

That would explain your high ping peaks ( > 600 ms). Is it possible to use wired network ?

not really ... the wall between the router and my wifi on the pc is only brick and wood (no metal inside) with signal strenght and connection quality always above 96 % (lowest ever for signal strenght) and 100 % for connection... but a cable laid "around" would have to be about 10 - 12 m long
... a hole in the wall ... still 5 m ... have to think about.Other thing, could it be a question of bandwidth ? I've got dsl 6000 and much more not possible due to telekom hardware here in the deep province (even an upgrade to 16000 would be questionalbe).

Wifi is wireless microwaves - a lot of equiptment communicates at the same frequencies (noise to your connection).
Wifi equiptment usually use the same channels. Channels can be changed, but only works until the neighbours do the same (or automatic by the equiptment is possible).Dunno what dsl 6000 is
Your wifi connection is probably 100 Mbit or more, a lot more than your ISP connection. You just need better quality aka cabledAttached my report from that script - notice way lower pings and you are closer to Berlin than I am

What Silverfox wrote reminds me how it was here some time ago. My provider connects me via Wifi and until they switched whole network to another frequency I had serious connection problems in some day times. Usually during day it was ok and evening when more ppl started theirs stuff it started be terrible and returned to normal after midnight. It may be good idea try cable (even if temporary) and check how it will work.

All right :
managed the "free house" (wifey sent shopping
), the free time to drill the necessary holes through some walls ... and clean everything up BEFORE wifey returns 
aaand put a lan-cable into the according plugholes :yesterday :
Ping: 41ms to 57ms - Fluct: 4ms to 20ms - Loss: 2% to 18% - Lag: 0% to 8% (when I got time to check before killed )today :
Ping: 31ms to 35ms - Fluct 1ms to 1ms - Loss: 0% to 0% even during heavy PvP... beside this small Fluct, that didn't changed when checking several times ...
think/hope it's "acceptable"

Secure, because any certified network consultant I have spoken to, claims to decrypt any wifi signal within 20 mins
