    I can kinda imagine your reaction once you reach Weth system... no offense intended, just in case.
    Also, the autosave is done after each intersystem jump AFAIK, so you can use it to save in the middle of the mission 27 (after entering the system, but make sure that the game has done that autosave). It isn't a docking OFC and won't get you refilled, but still better than nothing IMHO.
    Coalition HQ sells Gatlings that have good rate of fire, though their usefulness is questionable in this current mission.
    And... those escorts were Coalitioners, man, by all stereotypes that Liberty Ale is a plain water to them :D

    Adv. Brigand MK2 class 10 shield in New Tokyo, Roppongi station. It's not the best shield in the game, but it doesn't require a maze to be done or some millions of creds.
    Adv. CM flares are indeed don't work.
    And, thankfully for you, PG MK5 and Shield Upgrade MK10 are sold in Frankfurt: Bruschal Base and Mainz station.
    Though... I think it's even possible to drop by Coalition space and buy Gatlings, and pick up missiles from wrecks there in Yakutsk (there's map on the wiki). There's also a short way back to Sirius, you won't have to fly ~300K in Sol (though there will be a fight with Nomads, so be prepared). Avoid landing on planet Murmansk in Sovetskaya system though, you may be hostile to Coalition Rogues (same equip as usual Coalition NPC fighters&they usually spawn there).

    Ive already got that shield....So is the Adv CHAMPION the BEST in the game ?

    i GEARED UP PROPER in FRANKFURT & headed off to SOL having earned a ton of cash burning up UNIONERS with the help of the BUNDSHUCH & a bit of GOLD DIGGING
    in DUBLIN & got 2 more PPC,S...So now i have 4 PPC,S & 1 class 9 FIRESTARTER & 1 CLASS 9 CANNONBALL. ?
    My rig looks MEAN ! with those BIG GUNS .
    Wish i had read what you wrote about those guns while on mission27, would have liked to have tried them out cos i THINK ???
    i felt the POWER of them as well CODED guns from the CSF outside PL CROSSFIRE. ( WHAT AM I DOING THERE ??)
    That DATADISK that im to give to the GOVERMENT ON CROSSFIRE & recieve a REWARD & MISSION ??? that didnt happen??
    I thought the ASF were GUARDIANS of crossfire & the system ???
    It seems that the ENTIRE CSF FLEET in that sector has been put on HIGH ALERT FOR MY HEAD !!
    Every time i come out of a gate THEIR WAITING & SMASH me to pieces .

    the shield clearly depends on the weapons that the enemies use
    there are 3 "elite" shields with different resistences to different weapon types

    Gatlings deal comparably low damage, but with higher refire rate and projectile speed. All-in-all it's one of the most popular guns in CF. Though I've seen people using PPCs in the place where you're going in the storyline, but those a)are fighter PvE aces and b)had me as the support (it was in MP) And, indeed, CSF become hostile as well as Coalition Rogues, but unlike CR their fighter weapon has slow projectile and shorter range, but deals lots of damage. CSF capital ships, on the other side can flak you up both literally and figuratively. Also, did you packed up couple of Sunslayers? You're gonna need them on that mission around Utopia. Thinking Adv. Champion will offer good protection for that mission due to AECs being photon guns, but it's located in the middle of the maze.

    SORRY! but what does PVE mean ?
    When you asked about a couple of SUNSLAYERS did you mean 2 LAUNCHERS ? cos i forgot to say i got the launcher
    but i have only 1 HARDPOINT. :D
    also you said you love your RIG ! is that because the amount of N,s / SLD,s it can carry ?
    cos my RIG has the same amount of armor & maneuvers a bit less than an EAGLE but
    only 63 N,s / SLD,s ?

    Well, Big B (Basilisk) also has two torpedo/CD mounts and bit more armor. And, indeed, it has 130/130 bats/bots. And those red stars on the sides...
    (Remember those escorters? There were two of these ships :) )
    It maneuvers a little better than a tranquilized cow though.
    PvE means Player vs. Enemies, it's NPC-killing in multiplayer.

    After you pass that mission in Utopia, well... stuff will get serious and you'll need to gear up on max. That place you'll go after this (*cough*TheInnerCore*cough*) is a hell in CF space, and in MP people usually go there in groups. Won't be spoilering more ;)

    hey ged67, u can also join MP and get practice with the Dervon-mission while u have a tovarish (=comrade) as wingman. i'm sure it helps u in SP too.
