I was in Sig.17.I just salvaged 2 blue blaze cannons and some class 10 missiles.I had about 1.8mil.in escape pods.I was landing on a station when out of no where
BOOM!!!!! I was hit by I don't know what,but it wasn't normal game play.I've taken on 4 to7 corsarairs at one time with little trouble.Is there a phantom ship jumping in to a system when someone gets powerfull cannons I call foul. 
There is one thing which can very rarely happen and this is that you can be killed due hook "mistake" ... it mean that other ppl fight somewhere in CF space and suddenly is killed another player. I can't explain to you technically how this can happen ( Huor: ? ) but I saw this few times myself. If you use ticket-system ( index.php?form=TicketNew ) and report what you lost, I can refund you moneys for your lost stuff)
martin, that is true it does happen i was flying in a system with no one around at the time and boom destroyed, and one funny incident was destroyed by a fighter mounted ion cannon in x3043. yep the player was banned on that one

Not sure that the hook kills someone, the message however might be incorrect and thats what i witnessed. Players are killed across several systems. But that you get killed by this is new to me.
I killed myself one guy on other Sirius side while fight in X ... (we talked after so I can confirm that far away player really can be killed ... its very rare stuff).
hehe, this happened to me just 2 days be4. i was in Tarsus with my BS and a rank-19-player in California killed me 
i asked him "why u killed me?" but he never answered i thought about kos him, but naaaah 
the truth was, i was in a cloud of volatile and exploding gases, i lost one turret after the other, and in the end ...
you died because you were in an volatile area. not full strength and full health. That means you would have been died anyway. Thats what i mean. The message is wrong. But the hook has besides and admin command nothing included to kill a player without purpose. You die and the message shown is wrong. But not you die out of a sudden and the message is wrong 
Anyway i tried to improve the handling hook wise, but it has to be proven if that was the correct approach.
