  • Pls post key setup in game and one advice (for NPC, JH, JG, TL, cruise etc etc):

    My setup:

    W - afterburn
    A- left strafe
    S - reverse
    D - right strafe

    CAPS LOCK - strafe up
    Tab- engine kill

    F- subtargeting
    Q- missile
    E- CD
1- fire weapon 1 (para missile)

    midle mouse buton - torpedo
    mause wheel - decrase/incrase speed
    fourth mause buton - missile

    t- enable rotating
    r- rotate left
    y- rotate right

    shift+w - cruise speed

    o- scan target

    2,3,4,5,6 - weapons groups

    unimportant:
    K- shield bats
    L- nanobots
    H- turet view
    shift+C - CM
    C- clear target
    V- rear view
    P - Autolavel
almost defoult setup for this group.

For bambis on CF advice: use rotate key (barel roll) to avoid NPC fire or fly reverse with enginekill -200 (nomads/npc go away, FL engine bug)

  • Notice:

Having the option of "Enable Rotation" enabled, may cause moments where the ship is stuck on flying straight, all your controls on directions are blocked, for a moment. That effect was only caused by this feature, so by default there are no keys set to that vannilla option.

You can still use it as much as you wish, but know about this risk of getting stuck, even if it's in middle of a fight.

Solution: When you get stuck, simply press the button that represents the "Enable Rotation" feature, to disable it, that should fix it at that moment, then you can enable it again.

Edit: About my keybindings, well, they are kinda in between Ajay and Husker's, but they are a tactical secret :D The movement keys are the same though.

As you can see it's basically by the Default + a few changes that I have done through the years. This setup works just fine in both PvP & PvE Combat. It takes time to get used to it , as well as anything else.

    Advices?

Try blowing up the opponent's missiles/torpedos or mines by Cruise Disruptors throughout the fight and build up a good Attack and Defense for yourself as well. If your Attack and Defense is good , you will do just fine in combat.

  • Yup, just like Crysis's, except tactical changes to weaponry, the rest are on default for me, though I added strafe up and down on the list.
