I dont know if anyone came across this before - I first noticed it in SP that I was unable to buy a new ship, but that didnt bother me, as I like playing MP more 
Now I noticed that in MP I am also unable to buy a new ship, I tried it with different chars and in 3 different systems.
When I click on the window where i can select the ship, the window closes immediately so I cannot make a selection
The video below will explain what I mean
closing windows happen mostly when the market files dont exist or the base inside the market files does not exist
I remember it's also some glitch that, at some poin it won't show you what it's selling, fixed by undocking and coming in again.

You get it from the mod it self or you make it with your self ???
If this never happen before then it can be damaged installation (more reasons). Can be good idea scan disk for errors.
try to manually copy the market_ships.ini from the CF folder in FLMM to your FL folder (must be located in \DATA\EQUIPMENT\
It's not the installation , it also happened to me lots of times. Just do the F1 or undock and then dock again and it'll be fine.
how can a monitor change the behaviour of such stuff?

I have no idea, the monitor that works is a 23" and the one that doesnt work is a 18"
Everything in CF works I can fly I can fight, buy equipment just not ships - really strange 
i assume the monitors use different resolutions, right?
-> there might be the chance that the widescreen support or the hudshift is placing that window on the wrong coordinates (just a theory)
