  • hi all been playing disco for a few months and been flying a lot of cap-ships e.g. gunboats cruisers battleships and Dreadnorts


    im wondering if we can have more of them in this mod as its VHF heavy not that i don't like them just I get bored of fighters alot also a few more bommers so players can make fleets and strike RP with bigger ships make the fighting a lot more fun with big fleets of ships going in to an all-out war is fun tho gunboats cruisers lack the ability to kill on the mod they may need a bit of work but bommers are good if in a group on here as i have tested them out and they can be really fun


    also the turret mode combat anyway of making the mouse-weal not zoom in and out to make the speed go up or down ?

    with introducing the already existing cap ships i went far enough
    next to that would such changes (if i would be interested) )not come before the CF2.0 release ... so a pretty long time to wait

  • then what about different types of VHF. ones desighned for speed i.e impulse speed 130 some for taking the blunt of the fire i.e shields 35000 guns 2 class 10's.
    add more variation and creativity for stupid looking fighters that everybody uses because of its turn rate

  • What about we stop comparing CF with Disco and its features?! It makes no sense to do this as we are here to play Crossfire and mod its content and not i any way Discovery.
    We have features Discovery has not, they have features we have not. And finally there are features both mods have. There is absolutely no need to combine them.


    No one said those features are utterly bullshit - they are for sure good the way they are - on Discovery.
    We are currently developing a new version for CF and it takes hell of work and time and money to do this. Be said that throwing tons of work into rubbish because Discovery has those features and we not will not happen. Crossfire did survive until now without those features - just sayin'

  • Because its no longer critism nor feedback. You already did voice your mind. We (or better OP) has taken care of your feedback and told you what he considers right for his mod. A no should be accepted on both sides. Insisting we implement it anyway is not doing good then + telling what features Disco has too. We are here for CF. btw we have already taken a bood bunch of feedback to improve the one or other thing. Mostly reported by the tickets or directly written either on moddb or by PM to OP. Due to such feedback i am currently developing something that another mod already has - Oo wonder that?

  • I am trying not to take the above words personal.
    This this about spin protection, battleships and discovery is stealing my time.
    I have already said "no" to it and even bothered to explain the reasons.
    We egomanic people, on our high-pitched horseback are the ones which do all the work and design this mod. Nobody has the right to tell us how we should do our work or what we should do. We are the only ones being able to say what is possible and what not.
    You better should accept that and let us do our work.

  • i'm curious, when i see the BS in the debrisfield i'm thinking of the eternal struggle against objects in space like asteroids: will it be possible to make asteroids "moveable" i mean to push away the asteroids or debris with a big ship (=>BS) so that it is actually possible to get through a asteroid field with more than 80m/s (=>cruise speed). I mean i have flown a Manticore BS and i've always nearly rage-quittet CF because the ship always gets stuck, also in the smallest asteroids (smaler than a fighter) which is kinda crappy :/
    Though i have to admit that the graphical improvements are real eye-candy :bfantasydreams:
