    the only thing i see why everyone "normal" is against weed is, that it is declared as illegal by the governement, but without any real reason.

    -no. that is not entirely correct... smoking weed isnt against the law, but having it in possession is illegal. yes thats german law, doesnt make much sense but it is written like this :)

    the video doesnt even support your statement, so i am still wondering - whats so bad about weed? alcohol (oh and cigs...) is even more dangerous (speaking now of the younger generation) than weed, so where's the point of this dispute? clarify it already!
    btw these hippie-weed guys in the vid are just a small-prejudice-charged part of the so-called stoner-circle, most of my friends who consume this stuff are just normal people as you and me.

    there is nothing wrong with smoking weed, it is not very harmful except for short-term memory loss, but you need to smoke on daily basis for that to happen, there are also some psychological side effects like quick mood swings (you are happy now but in next moment you feel depressed for no reason) but again you should smoke a lot for that to happen.

    People who smoke - soil the environment. More evil - if i am near one of the smokers they soil the fresh air i am going to inhale. And make me sick too. Proven.
    People who drink alcohol soil their own body. I can walk or sit next to a drunken person and they probably will do not harm myself. (exceptions are always given). BUT fact is also they damage the social system we are living in. No question.


    Its forbidden because there is no prove against it yet :)

    deatheater, since you're kinda clueless on why it's illegal pretty much everywhere, i'll simply direct you to this decently educational, questionably unbiased documentary (and anyone else who are confused about various myths about Marijuana) as for the myths you mentioned: the short term memory loss is temporary. they're part of what's called "Stoner Moments." they can be a lot of fun. Stoner moment's include temporary short term memory loss, 5 minute tangents about irrelevant, random-ass things that are can be entertaining to both the stoned and the not stoned. hell when i'm high, i can make people laugh. i'm also an excellent troll given the proper circumstance (mostly through sarcastic, ignorant, rhetorical statements) Stoner moment's shouldn't be confused with ADD moments because the difference is- oh hey, Newegg is having a sale *browses newegg for the next hour*

    if your country doesn't allow it, Google is your friend. the video explains how Marijuana came to the US, how popular culture aided in the War on Drugs from the 1920's all the way to today, clearing up myths like how it "kills brain cells" or "it can turn you into a rebel" (gotta love the 50's, 60's and 70's right?) and how Marijuana's medicinal properties aid in treating and sometimes curing things like certains kinds of cancer, AIDS/HIV, Multiplesclerosis (MS) and a number of other things

    Lonewolf, because kids are taught in school that weed does x, y, z things that can harm your life. it's not a gateway drug. i know plenty of people who went from weed, to much harder drugs and BACK to weed because they didn't get the same enjoyment marijuana did for them. i for one am content with the vast amounts of different and unique strains of weed (from shitty mexican shwag to top shelf $30/gram hybrids to the god knows how many versions of Kush and Haze there are in the world) and therefore have no reason do to anything harder. i place important things before buying a 20 bag ($20 worth of weed) such as bills, rent, gas for my car and so forth. anything left over goes under my mattress. i didn't buy more than 2-3 times a month (generally because i got an 1/8th (roughly 3.5 gram) at a time. priorities...i has them.


    alcohol, cigarettes, meth, coke, heroin, ecstasy, acid and really any drug cooked in a kitchen is bad. sure it makes you feel good, but the destructive consequences are much more severe (i for one would not suck dick for coke. hell i wouldn't suck dick for weed...but maybe for a Klondike bar......not)


    people in positions of power (senator's, congressmen, the president) all grew up when getting caught smoking dope got you 10 years in federal prison. now the feds don't persecute those living in MMJ regulated states (i.e. Colorado, California, Oregon etc...) if i got caught with less than an ounce (28 ish grams) i wouldn't get in anymore trouble than a $25 fine i can *mail* in, and showing up dirty on a piss test that can be circumvented in a number of ways. not smoking being the best bet...unless you hax and you get a bottle full of clean urine you nuke in the microwave and bring to the UA test (make sure they aren't looking though ;))

    Looks like we'll have to start considering "cleaning" this thread. I went out of the thread since argues started, but they can't continue for long.


    Chatting about weed (a small step to drugs) or making jokes about them is a thing (accepted one), supporting it against it being illegal or supporting that conduct of smoking weed being good (or not so bad) is another thing.

    It would be good if you leave such decisions about forum rule breaks or not for the persons in charge. Actually i do not see how we encourage people to smoke weed. And actually there are countries in this world where it is allowed.
    Otherwise we would need to ban 80% of the threads, because you will find always something that is not allowed everywhere.

    Shortly after Dupont invented nylon, there was a mad rush by the military-industrial machine to outlaw hemp [cannabis vulgaris]. Up until nylon, 100% of the world's supply of rope was made from weed. People wore clothing made from hemp, paper money was made from hemp [some still is]. Hemp was the number 1 cash crop in many countries of the world...including the United States. Dupont began making movies and documentaries on the "dangers" of weed without any kinds of scientific testing [called propaganda]. Dupont and oil barons also pumped millions of dollars into the political careers of men who shared their vision of replacing cheap renewable hemp with oil based products. Once these men were elected, they made laws to make hemp production illegal. Hemp is the lowest form of canabis and contains very little, if any, THC and yet, it was outlawed along with all the other forms of canabis.


    Weed is not illegal because you can get stoned from it...weed is illegal because oil companies would lose billions and billions of dollars if we were allowed to grow it again.


    Facts about hemp:


    The oil pressed from the hemp seeds contains the highest concentration of essential fatty acids (omega 6,omega 3 and GLA) of any natural plant source. In addition, the hemp seed is also very high in digestible protein. It contains NO THC.


    The hemp seed is 35 percent oil, however, it is also the king of protein! Of all plant based sources, its 25 percent protein content - comprised of all eight essential amino acids - is second only to that of the soy bean.


    The left over seed cake or crushed hulls can be ground into a flour that is 41% protein and gluten free. This protein in hemp seed is readily digestible, being primarily composed of edistin and albumin which are the components of human blood plasma. It is also very hypoallergenic in contrast to other proteins in nuts, peanuts or soy.


    The common hemp plant will grow almost anywhere, in any soil, and is naturally resistant to pests [no chemical pesticides required]. Since it is a weed itself, no chemical herbicides are required.


    Hemp could be used to replace 50% of current oil based products [nylon, polyester, many oil based lubricants etc] and reduce our dependence on dwindling oil reserves.


    Unfortunately, the oil companies and the governments that they control will never allow this wonderful plant to make a comeback. If smokable forms of weed are legalized, then so will hemp...and that will cut into the oil company profits way too much.

    The legal rules of this portal abides the ones of the country it is in, Germany. And you know it, as the topic came before while we both had the same duty.


    Anyway I wasn't deciding or doing anything, I was just saying ;) I don't have the time to check every thread like before, so I am in the place (with the job) I want to.

    So there's a debate as to which state has the better weed. Having smoked California and Colorado marijuana, the conclusion i came to was that it doesn't matter where the weed is grown, the amount of love and attention you give your plants is what is going to affect the quality of your plant


    that said, Come to Colorado, where not only are you a mile high above sea level, you catch a mile "high" smoking some good bud. I'll show you around

    so...one time while waiting for a train in Oceanside, me and a buddy went to go smoke while we waiting for our train. We're just kicking it, smoking bud and after about 10 minutes, we're relaxing on the sidewalk.


    soon, 3 cops drive by and they get out and come over to us. they ask us what we're doing and we said "we're waiting for a train, listening to music and told them we were smoking weed. They tell us someone called them because they thought we were shooting heroin.


    we laughed, they searched our stuff, they didn't find any drugs (other than the gram or two of bud that i had) and i'm pretty sure they were upset because they didn't get to arrest a couple junkies
