  • Ty Cresthen m8, i read this 2 already, but still wasn't able to figure out why?
Again weird idea that ppl will earn too much money and lost interest in playing?
Quite opposite, ppl left the game already.

OmG this idea haunt us from 1.7. to these days...

Let ppl to trade and earn billions if they like that way for game sake.

Fucking restrictions stopped me to held CoP Epic race event every month cos i can't earn enough money (except i'm trading every day few hours which is not the case anymore and reason is i don't like that kind of restrictions in games)Instead to play and enjoy in my free time i writing about same damn thing again and again)

    congrats

  • It's that smugglers (some of them) want more profit for themselves (shown on another forum thread), while they want less profit for normal people.

If we (everyone except smugglers) got a good enough route, they cry. If they have a too profitable route, we cry. A deadly loop for OP, while complainers are the only voice that speak.

  • I'm a smuggler but I trade containers and don't complain. :)

  • when i saw the total profit of this containers runs i think to myself it would not last long.
For my suprise they stay for a few months but nothing new they were reduced, becouse the crying crew cant handle anything that gives fast money to all people, when they know if they trade everyone will kill them.
so it is more simple to remove this, than have RP in the server.

    so whats the options?

    1. stations blueprints to o3 - 22 mil on cargo for 15 mil profit.
    2. you can keep the containers runs for 6 mil instead of 25 mil
    3. Pod hunt and missions. (the best way imo)
    4. search for the megaroids, if you have a good graphic card and spent hours for almost 0 profit.

there is no dynamic economy for BMG. also some commodies like niobium are x3 more cargo space (train with 2500 cargo can bring only 833) so mining is also not profitable.
so this should be review and worked, instead of removing the only way to make money.
The containers should not be reduced so much, it would be fair to reduce from 25 mil to 15 mil.

But once again, who am i to demand anything... i just give my 2 cents.

Now lets see whats the next complain...

  • First off.
Is it possible to NOT have another trade-complaint thread?

I see the whole thing as follow:

    - to tax/fine a guy who is "trading" containers - he is not willing to pay, because he rather dies and looses less than paying any credits.
When he dies with containers mounted, then he doesn't lose anything (not even the investment he made), because he has NO cargo to lose at all. Therefor taxing/fining the container "trading" guys is less profitable for those who actually really try to do any roleplay.

    - to tax/fine a guy who is actually trading any kind of commodities (which I would considered real trading) does mostly work out in a better way, because this guy can actually lose something worthy if he is not willing to pay.

So far, people are way too spoiled in this game. Getting cash way too easy. They have had too much opportunities to get huge ammounts of profit, while actually having to work for it as less as possible.
I'm not taking myself out of it. Yes I loved the high value trades as well. But I'm not crying now that they are gone and that I actually have to look for other ways to earn cash.

But of course a lot of people will disagree, since they rather have only one TL to travel in order to make millions of profit, than having 3 or 5 systems to cross in order to make a earning.
And I also think complaining about it, just makes the whole situation worse, more than it is actually increasing something.

  • There were great ways to make fast money, indeed.

And if the info is right that smugglers can make 15 mills profit runs, and legal trading gives 6 mills, proportionally the trade system is now correct. Smuggling has to give a bit more money than legal ways. Yet, I see why people would complain, if you have to trade 10-15 minutes with the slowest brick in space to make 6 mills, which you spend in the fights of a single server event, or a small fight in about 10 duels... you have to trade as much time as you spend for RP or PvP or events/fighting in general.

And event runners are in need of funding as 60 or 150 mills (depending on prizes and participants) are a lot to spend for a single hour.

and so on...but i totally agree with this, and i was the first 1 in who vote to remove containers trading because imo this ruin RP from the reason u stated already, but what to trade right now? Do i have time to explore CF every day or to have all possible commodities at one ship in order to know what is good for trade today.Listen i am cop and i like to make for life in honest and easy way, leave me with 2 or 3 legal route (like prisoners back in 1,7) and i should be fine and more to that i will put most of my time in Police RP.

  • ah, another thread i can ignore

Actually you ignore player requests and as Abras said "another thread about trading complains" you guys should ask ur self wtf is going on?
If people complain then something is wrong, and usually some smart asses as i saw them in all this years will write against no matter they don't play the damn game, and ppl who play and trade and do RP will suffer?

    That is ur way?
This is what u want to ignore?

    Good luck with this.

  • In real life, a utopia can never be achieved.

It will be achieved one day.
And all the more is it possible in a game... Everything depends on people.

  • actually IT WAS A PLAYER REQUEST

It was voiced and discussed during the last meeting aswell as it was brought up here on the forum 2 times since then.

if you dont like my mod and the work that i am doing you are free to stop playing it but stop making such stupid claims about me not listening to the players

  • I was out for the past near two weeks because of school work. I never saw this coming.... Couldn't there be a way to make the smugglers earn more profits than normal people instead of us getting less? Just a question
