New around here: MP or SP ?

    Hey everyone,


    it's my first time trying Crossfire and this mod is really, really great :) I started the SP campaign, and the graphics, the hud, the resolution overhaul, the mission-gimmicks. I like that very much! :)


    However, i first thought i'd do the solocampaign again before going for mp but with the difficultylevel in Crossfire this is going to take me forever. Would you recommend going for the MP ? It's years since i've played vanilla last time and i frankly forgot about the waypoints, hidden warp holes and so on. So i guess mp will not be easy for me as a total newb but i love Roleplay (!). So, what would you recommend? MP or SP then ? which is more fun for a newb?

    Hello and welcome to the site :). IMO I think doing the SP first would be good, because you relearn the controls, locations, ships, bases, etc. Also with 1.9 you get actual missions after you beat the original story, you get some missions and you explore locations that are needed for MP :P but then again its your choice :D

    If your a good pilot, and have a generally good grasp of freelancer, Id say jump into the MP headfirst, honestly the difficulty level in the single player campaign can be discouraging at times early on, and honestly the MP is spectacular, with the server being active for most if not all of the day and night.

    with 1.9 is SP really worth to try. New SP missions are nice and will show you Crossfire history. You can start both at once and see difference.

    If you really like RP then jump into MP...you could always play some SP in odd times. Sometimes for me...connection to server is bad ( I'm really far from server ) and if I'm totally going crazy to play, I can at least do some single player missions :D
