very likely

Works fine for me, only prob is that when the main menu loads, the mouse cursor may not move. Just press the windows button twice and mouse will start to move again. However this is not the case when enb series is off. The mouse will remain frozen while everything else moves. The swat intro does not appear either with the W8 aero theme.

Windows 8 was supposed to be more like Windows XP rather than Windows Vista... what went wrong ?
-
xp? lol. its exactly like windows 7 but with the new metro UI
-
It's not exactly like W 7, it's changes log has as many entries as CF 1.8's log, lol (which is very large)
-
surely its not exactly like w7. Otherwise it wouldnt have a different name?!
I assume that FL will run on w8 as well. Usually most stuff is downwards compatible. Not all but the major functionality is. -
Vishnu how is W 8?
-
Err ok, I don't want to invade this thread but its better than making another one... How about Linux? Anyone able to run it smoothly on Wine?
-
Hm, yeah, i also wonder the same as 50pack. Has anyone tried it on wine or playonlinux? And on which distro ?
-
Idk anything about Linux
@Cro It is worth downloading. You can do cool shit with it and the beta versions are fully free! I use the 64 bit one.Edit byDont use it as your primary OS, it is wise to dual boot it onto D drive or somewhere else in case something gets screwed up (happened before :|) -
so 1 on each drive 1 windows? how it works then?
-
I am pretty sure you can dual boot it. So basically every time you boot your pc you have an option to go into Windows 7 or Windows 8
-
well as in one drive I have programs and windows and on the other I have media files, idk if I'll install both
-
why do you actually want to use windows 8?
its an OS for tablet PCs and very complicated and ineffective to handle -
it is for PCs too
Coz I want to try it -
Hardware sound acceleration was promised to be back with Windows 8... I doubt tablet PCs need this feature.
-
It's for any PC /portable / netbook etc.
And well, you can always disable features if you dont need any
-
id like to disable 90% of the new features that ive seen so far
-
heh... I normally do it to gain performance.
