COOL fighter ships.
2, 5 and 9 are my "favorites - so far
They are all "light" or "medium" fighters ? ... or some planned as "heavy" - or even VHF ?
-
IMHO doubtfully there are VHFs as there are too many VHFs in Crossfire.
Yeah, they are cool, but my heart is already taken -

yep, and i think its not the only one

since ive no time for vid recording ive just create a small images of a feature improvement
we often enough faced the following opposite situations.
1. on the server ppl to argue about RP situations because a license was switched and mostly then I get pms with scans to show me which license was mounted (or ppl just do claims)
2. new players come to the forum and ask "whats that blue thing above my ship and how do i get rid of it?"As you can see 2 completely different problems about one and the same topic. The license icons.
On the server the RP for sure would benefit if the Icons would be more visible.
But for every player who has that icon infront of the screen its just annoying. The first pic below should show you that ive an ASF license mounted on my shroud.
The 2nd pic shows you how this license looks like for me (the owner of the ship) -> its not there.
The following pics show you what happens when i approach another shroud (in this case a dummy). The icon appears at about 2k and scales down as i fly closer to the ship. With other words the people on the server can better identify the RP type of a player while the icon does not disturb the player who is flying the ship.
This is for now just a concept which i tested in a SP environment. However i see no reason why it should not work in MP aswell. -
That will be good i will recognize enemy or friend from safe distance.

From my pov (as player trying do often RP - police):
first part (icon is not visible on your ship) .. great thing!
.. for second part: This will look ugly in group actions where you will see not other ships but RP triangle ... especially with many nice ships designs it looks for me as not good idea. Try imagine how will look pictures and in game view in actions like was last Motherships hunt in Inner Core . Honestly, every player who rly want to do RP scan ppl automatically (those which he not know) and those which he know (like clan members) is not need to scan. I have next suggestion (I do not know if is technically possible, its suggestion only): if player name which is shown can have different color, then everyone can easily see other person RP and there will be not needed to see "triangle" ... or can be done some border about name with different color? (again suggestion only).
Next to this, If is pirate/police/merc hunting bounty approaching to you and you see him like on screenshots ... then it doesn't matter much if you see huge license sign because is too late: you can only pay, fight or get killed. If anyone want avoid other RP type then he need be sure that he can keep yourself out of other side radar.

players still have the option to take off if they want to create vids
point is that its impossible to cover every eventuality and personal preference
I just covered 2 of the most often used complaints with this change while i never before seen somebody complaining about the icons above other ships (during the 5 years they exist) -
OK, I understand (its impossible to cover every eventuality and personal preference ... yup). I wanted then ask about this "take off" option: is possible have this triangle visibility selectable as standalone option?
Edit byAnd sorry, I missed this part about reducing triangle size when other ship coming close ... this sounds good! -
i can create a FLMM option to disable it
