oh noes...
if you have the option to use a wired connection, then stick to that wired option while playing as there's normallya huge difference between wired and wireless for the internet.Actually, when you connect to the server, be sure to be wired so you don't lag players near you, well, not more than you would while using wired connection.
-
at this point in time not to worried about a wired connection: first:not playing online yet ( with need for speed world works just fine.have excellent "w-lan symble" connection)....still have to finish vanilla and practice, practice.ect.....second: my router is in the hallway/entrance...and there is no room for desk ,table (router on top of cabinate next to telephone)have to set laptop on floor or shortly place small stool next to cabinate and third am working on getting a 15 meter land cable and need to drill a couple of holes through the walls...thanks for the info will see how much of a diference I have with wired con. test
-
You can go at pingtest.net for such test... but it's better seeing it in-game on the server directly how it affects you.
I got a fine router, and the laptop is at just 2 meters of it, though it even gets yellow lags arround... while my Con. is great while playing on the wired PC.

I'll try it sometime but not nowzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz N2G

not sure what you mean by "strong" but here's my rig + speedtest (local and Germany server tests)
AMD Phenom II X4 840 @ 3.2Ghz - $60 (OCed to 4.0 before the thing started to blue screen w/o water cooling)
HIS Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR3 PCI-E X16 - $100 (good thing it doesn't require external power)
Patriot 8GB DDR2 kit (2x4GB) - $140 (DDR2 is getting expensive these days)
Antec 400w PSU (it's an antique. have to use 4-Pin Molex->Sata power adapter)
NZXT M59 Mid Tower - $60
ASRock 770DE+ Mobo - $60 (Crossfire ready, but nothing further than 4000 series ATI..but it has support for AM2/AM2+/AM3 CPUs which is nice)
820GB of HDD space (1x500GB, 1x250GB, 1x40GB 1x30GB.) - $70 (just for the 500GB)total cost-ish $490
it can run BF3 on Max settings native resolution (1360x768) at a comfortable 30-40 frames. only minimal graphical glitches when i do this, but since they are a nuisance i dont...it just proves i can run BF3 at max settings...
local Speed test (courtesy of Speedtest.net)
1853956501.pngSpeed test from Denver, Colorado to Frankfurt, Germany
1853959326.pngonly play $40/month for that speed...

I pay ~$5 per month but the connection is not always stable
-
5$ for a 20MB connection ?
btw, try a local test ?

OMG do you have connection from the future!!!this looks like something like a warp reactor or a inter galactic space time disrupting.. whatever.... this is something that i can just dream about cool -
the one thing i dislike about Intel is the Price
i can pick up an i7 2700K (unlocked) for $370 around here (well i'd have to drive 45 minutes to Microcenter)
or i can pick up a AMD Phenom II X4 960T Black Edition (Unlocked) which is roughly the same as the i7 2700K for $130
what's with that?
i'm content with what i have
and Duck, the shelve your computer sits on looks REALLLY sketch
-
well wanted to do speed test with wired connection and to tell you the truth was having problems keeping solid connection...problebly some settings are wrong but with wired connection it's just not worth the troble(like I said before no room for desk or table) so I'll just stick with wireless...work for my standards just fine ....did some more tests .....here are the "not to exciting" results... ps ...and this packet loss....something to do with firewall not allowing....as long as my laptop runs I'm not messing with anything
-
There's a big gap between a i7 2700 and a X4 960T
'Roughly' the same is a huge overstatement
-
Yeah, X4 960T is much better than i7 2700 lol
-
HULK SMASH PUNY COMPUTER!!!
My PC can beat up your PC.
[Ok, so not my PC but could still beat up yours.]
-
PC= alter ego ?right?
-
Nothing can beat my PC!
-

-
Already tried.... I broke the hammer
