Single Player Mission 24 - Coalition problem

    Currently I play the new single player missions and aside some minor defects (restarting the mission form its save always correct the minor problems), have not met any problem. But now, I think I found a possible bug in this fantastic mod.


    Am I miss something or is this a bug?


    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply SWAT_OP-R8R. Actually I reload and restart this mission eight times before asking for help (I use the save created by the mod, not the autosave), but the result is always the same. The mission get stuck. :(


  • normally you are supposed to jump back to the system where you came from at that mission

  • Just played again this mission form an earlier save (the train escort mission from the Hood to the Order station), finish that and do the Coalition mission (begin it from the Order's Mars base, fly to the new sector, avoid the fighting against the nomad patrols and their task force, then go through the jump gates to the Coalition system). We finish the incoming Coalition forces (9 fighters, 3 gunboats, 2 destroyers one cruiser; for the first time all my wingman survived the battle :thumbsup: ) but nothing changed. The game still say the same (approaching Coalition forces) and I cannot use the jump gate (docking not allowed).

  • Unusual, I guess you did rebooted the PC in this time to take out possible caches, so, have you tried loading from the autosave, and at the Strike carrier mission(which you passed) it was gettin fixed by making a manual save after getting the briefing.


    At your mission level, you should kill the first 3 coal ships you see easely(as they barely damage) and when more coalition ships come Juni says to abort and run back.


    While in this mission stay right next( arround 1-2 KMs) to the jump gate you came by, when Juni says about running, then you can dock back by the gate you came.
    You only have to kill the 3 medium coalition ships you see, after that you have to run as your forces can't stand the new coalition forces.


    Try letting the NPCs kill each other, and wait behind the gate if nothing above worked.

    My problem solved (I just need to suffer a little more damage).


    I try so hard to avoid any hull damage (dodge and strafe like a maniac and as soon as my ship take any damage I press the "repair" buttons), that I couldn't take enough to trigger Juni's retreat order. :patsch:


    Please accept my deepest apology for being robbed your precious time for such a trivial problem (caused by my inadvertence).

  • To open the spoiler you have to click on the "SPOILER" text and nearly any part of the black zone, and it doesn't work ?


    Then, which browser and version are you using ? Have you cleared the "cache" from your browser after Swat 2.1 got released ? (the cache can be cleared separatedly by the cookies so you loose no password and logins, at least on Firefox).

    What should happen in mission 27 new Worlds at the Menton system where the mission says, we must wait for the return of the Coalition Commander?


    I wait there about 15 minutes but nothing happened. I see my coalition wingmen fly toward the hipergate and I see them as they shoot the gate without response. After 15 minutes I decide to go closer. When I get closer than 10 units, the station kill the coalition forces and me at the same time (in a frighteningly effective way). When I stay away from the dead zone the coalition fighters shoot the gate, but the gate not shoot them.



    Oh and another question if you don't mind. During the 25th mission when we (together ewith Juni) go to the Coalition systems, Juni is always attack (and attacked by) the Coalition Forces. Its a little annoying to see their fight because Juni is indestructible. On the next mission (where we go to the Coalition HQ) no more fights between the Coalition and Juni. Is this normal?

  • I'm not sure what happened at the 27th mission, you should be(and wait) at 18 Ks far from the gate , if you move from the waypoint spot, the commander might not appear.
    That gate has some ultimate weapons, while you are hostile with it you can't survive clooser than 5 Ks, later in the story that changes.


    During the 25th mission, is while discovering the Coalition, and as the story says they've been attacked by something different than Nomads and for a moment though you(and your team) were the cause, but on the next mission as the title says, you are going to make peace with coalition, so of course none of the sides shoot eachother while you just go in a diplomatic mission.

    I restarted this mission and wait several minutes at the same spot. But this time when I go closer (to 10 K range) the station activate its devastating armament and destroyed all Coalition fighters (fortunately its not shoot me, maybe because I use the afterburner to breach the 10 K range and perform a quick turn back and go away). After the fighter's destruction I got a message to flee from this system.


    On the 25th mission (when I go to the large gun station in the Sovietskaya system) the coalition attacked only Juni and she attacks them. I just don't know why they attacks each other when we had neutral status. That is why I ask about this situation. It doesn't affect the mission.

  • I'm not sure about the status your NPCs(Juni and other escorts) have, as I seen them firing at random stuff(trade lanes) I think they are made to attack anything outside their script(plans), anyway if you just follow the waypoint you don't get near any DarkReign cannon.

  • in coalition space the coalition ships are randomly generated by the system
    and juni is lsf
    lsf and coalition are by default hostile (and there is nothing that can change that)


    in later missions the coalition ships are generated by the mission script
    there i can change the reputations between juni and the mission generated coaltion ships


    thats the difference between these 2 missions
    and there is nothing i can change

  • Hello Everybody!
    PLEASE someone can send me a savegame file to this mission? Because in the train escort mission when i arrive to Earth with the trains, the Mission Waypoint jumps back to the Jupiter->Earth trade lane 160K away. I tried this mission 10 mines but not fixed. I tried Autosave, and normal mission save but nothing worked, I have to skip this mission, so PLEASE send me a savegame file of Mission 42: Coalition to this E-mail : skyes@freestart.hu PLEASE!
