Rofl. I was playing Disco for the past 1 month, RP there is so pissing off. You need a "reason" for everything you do... even for a visit to a toilet. But *sigh* i just got banned today for no apparent reason. Just wanted to say, CF roleplay is taking it a bit tooo easy. Stuff should toughen up a bit, be more strict. (Im not saying too much, otherwise it wouldnt be fun and everything would be screwed up like in Disco). A few more RP licenses would be nice. Some new trains too. Maybe even a terrorist ID could be made that would be given only to a certain handful of people on request from a GR or admin. (terrorists could shoot ppl on sight and smoke weed and whatnot).

You are wrong Gunny the place has changed it has become far worse. Players are ignoring the rules and think that it is a joke when you ask them to behave properly. As you say using F1 is used without hesitation, reloading (not that this is against the rules just against accepted practice), attacking players outside the rules of rp, generally disregarding the protocol and breaking rules without a second thought.

Voting for more active administration in-game, like i always did. OP's right when he says rules don't need to change (although few additions might be needed, see below), but we all know that many players do need to change (or be showed the door). I tend to agree with vishnu about the fact that RP should have a little more place, after all OP made the name "24/7 Crossfire RP" ! Without the obligation to have reasons to make every action. Here in CF it's "i'm a pirate and i kill people" and i believe it is just fine... that's implicit RP, you are what you are and act in a stereotyped way everyone will understand.

There should also be a rule added not to be OORP on system channel, we got Arena to chat and have fun, the rest is to be in character... Additonnally, the rule about "only english is allowed on system channel" should be complemented to include a list of the usual RP dialogues to allow our foreign players to understand the words "stop", "tax", "leave this system", "drop cargo", "i'm collecting a bounty", etc... We got a lot of people speaking 2-3 languages, those who wrote the translated Server Rules, who could make a simple table with the most common RP dialogues and translate it from english to whatever language players read... That'd be a way to facilitate comm and make RP better... I truly love the fact that coalition people, like BC, most exclusively speak rusian, but that is no good if we do not understand the basic words we tell each other... i wouldn't mind learnign a few russian words myself but, eh, i don't have the keybord to type the russian letters...

When I'm online then I always do my RP. And I also announce in public (via console) that something is going on in whatever system.
But ok, Next time, when NO cop is paying attention and basicly IGNORE the ongoing criminal activity in certain areas, then I will just start kicking them off the server, if that is what you want.
Obviously you only want people on the server who do their RP and not those who are member of any clan or picked their RP by taking a license and dont even bother with the one they choose.

But then new complaints will come up against being kicked from the server "for no reason" or whatever. Trust me

But I for myself can say, that I do my RP and also try to do my best as a GR.
I also start every now and then "spontanous events" like transporting certain types of commodity to a certain place or putting myself up as a target and make others hunting me, in order to make "new player" getting used to the Galaxy and going to do something for their cash. In fact I invest already in making the server more attractive for the new players and the "veterans"!
And I'm financing those activities for about 90% out of my own earned cash (with doing RP, and trading :P)
So if you complain against GR's then please exclude me of those. Thank you!

For the players ignoring their RP when they are online, thats definetaly not anyones fault but the players themself.

Unfortunately I do also have a real life going on (which includes work time) so I can not be online 24/7
And I'm also not the only one who either is supposed to do something, and could do something, am I?

Abras, nobody is picking on you, so chill out. It's about people who shoot other people out of RP just for fun, shitpost bounties, break trade lanes in NY just to piss off noobs, use game mechanics against other players (F1, staying docked, abuse of mercenary lic for instance).

I didnt read it as "picking on me" I read it as general questioning why GR's are even there (spiky's post)
For the fact that ppl do that what you wrote (about NY) I didnt get any complaints yet, nor was it ever mentioned to me when I was online. So how the heck should (in example) I know, that such things are going on?

Role playing lol u cops are so weak minded in how to play a role playing game such as this great game. I left for awhile to see if things change and when i came back guess what the one thing that hasnt change u guys whining about stupid stuff. This guy here Shock helps the game. I make u! I hear how Gunny is crying because i sit at the base and talk alot i hear about how SA Arrow gets a raw deal because he thinks he does alot for this game and lets not forget pinkman plz of all the ppl that should leave this game it should be u. Im not very good at pvp and maybe im good at talking but i know role playing like its coming out of my ass alot more then most of u. SMG AD i see him out there alot more then anyone of you. I see him taxing pvp killing my BS:) and so much more. Cops need to be seen not hide behind close doors because they dont like what they see. And yes maybe this game rules need to be tweet but i dont see u out there helping to change that. There are ppl out there that obey the rules and ppl not obeying the rules u should out there busting down cockpit doors draging the pilots out to jail but i dont see that at all thats why ppl like me dont have respect for cops. Im srry does anyone else see the bigger picture or just me? We had a thread where you were able to discuss such things and where i did listen to your opinion... either you have used your chance there or you gonna live with way it was decided.
Next to that do such complains always come from people which have not really offered and real solutions and have not tried to solve problems.

I am sick of listening to such people.... say often enough that everything is terrible and people will believe it and in the end everything will become terrible. Bummer that I missed you.....you can bet I wouldn't be docked and chatting. I don't f1 either!!! I did get the chance to shoot at the infamous Spiky tho Was a nice smuggling run yesterday and I saw many battles due to the amount of CF players in the area....don't know how you could have missed all the fun. Taxes were flowing, mercs were hunting, smugglers scattering about, the only thing missing was the cop'ers to line up in my sights Although Spiky did put up a few fights (I really consider Military different than true cop'er tho)

So G....get back in your ship and help kickstart some more RP

They are intact and i was part of the crew who rewrote them some years ago.

Furthermore the GRs werent supposed to deal with rules anylonger - so I will remind you at this. Rules were part of the business OP wants to deal with - so please save us all the trouble to complain and claim the GRs would have any point in this. They do not.

It has been a problem in the past and it wasnt solved. Problem in my point is the lack in communication. How shall OP do something (even if that means he delegates some jobs to the GRs) if no one is teaching him about misbehaviours?
ITS WRONG TO STATE THERE ARE NO RULES. AND YOU DO NOT BETTER BY BREAKING THEM AS WELL. THAT HAS NEVER SOLVED ANY ISSUES, NOT IN THE PAST, NOR IN THE FUTURE. I WOULD EXPECT THE MORE CIVILISED PEOPLE BEHAVE THIS WAY.
