Let the image experts do something useful for a change

    Anyone noticing a defect on the following image? It's an image used in the current Crossfire release and in all other previous releases (if I'm not mistaken)



    Look at the upper right corner and the dragon making his way around the sword - there is obviously something wrong with the perspective... Do you see?

    thats an official logo and the perspective is correct (eventhough on first view it appears different)

    OP - yes there is something wrong - WOULD YOU JUST LOOK AT THE BLOODY DRAGON AND THE SWORD more closely?


    if you look at the dragon's body - when you go from the head and get to the rear legs - his tail should be circling around the sword in another direction - and thats why you get the wrong perspective !

    huh well that really depends on how you believe the dragon is placed around the sword.. i don't see it twsited around, only that it makes aboe below and above again...


    That's a SL logo anyway so not much to do about it....


    EDIT : on the alliance logo, have you noticed how the perspective is wrong everyone ? there is the sun then an eagle but stars are on the top layer... normally stars are in the background because they are far far away.... :P

    there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the perspective


    on top of that this is a logo taken from another game so not OP's concern and certainly not his task to correct anything about it (IF there was something wrong with it in the first place)

    i can see what ur talking about Diablo, but with this being a custom logo from another game and then used in this game it is what it is, that was most likely how it was designed to look


    for people who are trying to understand what Diablo is getting at is that the dragons head starts on top of the sword with his neck going under it curving to the right and the body then curves left over the sword making the tail wrap around to the right to end under the sword. Diablo is saying the perspective is off because the dragons body should continue curving and wrapping around the sword in the same direction to create the "wrap around effect"................. this is if i understand correctly what Diablo is trying to get at


    i think the dragon was curved they way it was so it would look original and so that u could see the dragon better. also it was done this way so the dragon body didnt block other parts of the dragon when trying to achieve the "wrap around effect"




    i think the dragons just trying to cuddle with the sword so no one stabs him in the underbelly with it :D

    OMG Huor are u blind m8? :D only a logical perspective and position of the sword over the dragon's body is if the sword lying horizontally and not vertically, as in this picture, otherwise this Dragon has not spine.
    Imagine the sword and Dragon in horizontally position and u shall see.

    guys, go out and watch the real world now and then and you will recognize that everything is perfect with whatever perspective you want to watch it. The dragon put hisself around the sword.
    Now lets start from the head to the tip of the sword in logical order:


    Head in front of the sword
    Front body in back of the sword
    Back body in front of the sword
    Tail in the back of the sword.


    Its concurrently in front and back. If you dont believe it. Take a ribbon and wind it around your finger... That would always be the case no matter what degree you rotate the thing....

    so take that as it is. I think there is not really anytime soon any point of discussing what could be wrong with that image. Since official images are usually checked several times, BEFORE make them being official (release them to the outer world, to be critizied or judged in any ways). Why dont you guys just start using your brain before you start any kind of conversations? It would however, give way more sense to a lot of threads, which have been posted here already. too bad that a bunch of people just using the forum for either showing off, bragging about something they can not even really spell themself, or just to annoy others by slapping them with kinda totally senseless informations :)


    go to bed and get some rest, go online and play that mod.. OR .. go out the front door, and experience some REAL LIFE :)

    If one has time to redo his/her signature and avatar over and over and over again, I don't see why something that is so often viewed such as CF intro screen shouldn't have the nicest and the most accurate image as it is possible
