No cos the randomizer is affacting the pods like the guns so thets option is out for now.

you could constantly creating new chars and you get 150.000 cr. You would have more than a million within 2 minutes, 30 million within an hour
Thats against the rules, but trading BMG is also tricky for coppers^^

There is some options that is not good enough:

1. Minig at a good spot at the correct day in the week 20 mil in a hour

2. trading normal goods at a good spot in a APC 400k for 20 mil in a hour

Why is it always 20 mil in a hour.

We need somthing bether cos the BMG is still at 100 mil in a hour.

you asked about alternatives - the game itself offers not much alternatives. So be creative and earn you money with the possibilities we have at hand. I am alone mostly and earn my money too. So i really doubt not any of the mentioned alternatives is good for you.

I'd have to echo your sentiments Grand, there is really only a few good legal commodities to trade to compensate for lucrative BMG smuggling. I'm not expecting to make 100 million an hour here folks mind you, but maybe put it at half that on the right route per every few days perhaps. There are honestly in my exploration only 3 really good legit commodities worth trading and only one of them is remotely worthwhile mining it at as well. Due to the recent bru-ha-ha over all the BMG crap unfortunately, I'm having to seriously reconsider mining as a viable alternative, with the right ship of course... Now I just hope I can find the commodity with mining due to the currently fubared drop rates...

I'm testing it right now and I don't see the difference from one day ago. I can take missions to kill confederates, missions that award 420-480 000 credits + each mission drops gives me a bonus of 7-14 pods depending on my luck. And each of those missions I do in 5 or so minutes. So maybe you should go to X-3043 go kill some confederates (after you take missions specifically for Confederates their pods sell for 150 000 [fighter ace] unlike the outcasts/corsairs etc. which sell for 100 000) and see how things are rather just shooting facts aside, cheers and good luck in your money making

just a note : its making its way deeper and deeper into my mind : if cops did their job at controlling smuggling, there would be no need to earn as much profit as the pirates/smuggler cause their profit would be very low... So instead of increasing yours , why not lower others' income ????

Fining unexperienced (but still above lvl40) criminals will make few millions quick too....

That's why there are so few honest people (real life and crossfire), if it were easy everyone would be enforcing law, but that's not the way to become rich easily

From Crysis post it is cca 2 weeks. I can confirm that 3 days ago in Vega randomly spawned NPCs dont drop pods (or maybe very rare ... i had 0/10 killed) . In missions was this OK, every one killed NPC dropped correct escape pod.

New ways of balancing the server:
- Transporting goods via a long route, instead of just from one system to another. And let it be as it was from the beginning , 5000 cargo of the stock , instead of 500 per unit. The long trading route would let the pirates to do some strategic strikes against police , mercenaries , freelancer etc... transports. That could also make some mercenaries(such as PX or IOC , freelancer mercenaries) to be hired in case if these transports needs protection against pirates or even police forces(if the trader is carrying illegal cargo). And also those who are trading may also hire the police to protect their transport ships from pirate attacks.
- Raising the price of the legal goods and also the BMG ones(as of course the BMG was always the top stock in CF). That would also make those traders to do their long trading route a bit safer if they hire protection.
- Restoring the dropping of the alien guns in the Inner Core and you can also drop their selling price. As the main point here is about trading though

For now, I can think of only that balance , if you got some more ideas to balance it even more... you can go ahead and share them

@ OP : in the SA_Discovery 2 days ago i was shooting NPCs and i didnt get as much pods as kills.. dunno if i destroyed the escape pods with my turrets tho...

@Crysis: when you raise now stock back to 5k then pirates and mercs can be richer even faster .. and longer routes will not change this. If I understand well ... main purpose was slowing down easy money gathering. I think that this one thing will no change.

And in game are still possibilities how made legal money. Sure, they are not as easy as for unlawful RP ... but if I wanted do things easy, I will be pirate freelancer. Play clan police RP is IMHO now even bigger challenge. It need good strategy to be successful.

If you don't raise the price of the selling goods, that LONG trade route would be pointless. Imagine if you go from New Tokyo to New London for example for 3 millions top. That of course sucks a lot.

Well,, whatever... I guess the issue about boriness and balancing would never be resolved. That is why we need to gather and discuss the whole balance in CF, which isn't just including money , but everything.

I think you misunderstood the main objective here. The point is to update the LEGAL TRADING, not the killing of npcs and get their pods. Unlike you, some of us would like to trade and make money that way.

Pfff, you know what? ... Forget it ... I am sick of getting ignored all the times. For you BMG traders is great as it seems,.. you don't like to get rid of the BMG , cause it's a big profit and you earn money fast , unlike us the legal guys, we earn very very slowly. That's called UNBALANCE. You need to earn fast from both sides so you can call it " Balanced ".

Anyway .. good luck of keeping and getting more people in CF.
