here's a few images i edited and put together using real nebula's, a kaleidoscope and a blue gem... if your wondering why i am posting these.. well i am going to college and taking business/e-commerce to start my own business and then after i finish that course, i will be taking graphic design because that is the business i want to start.. and i do apologize if they are to big. the average size is 900 x 600
to OP, if you thinkany of these photo's would be cool to use in your mod... then go for it.. i dont mind at all... hehe
Lost
Vortex
Star Burst
The Eye
2 Nebula's Becoming 1
edited and deleted the blue vortex one because i didnt really like it

unfortunatly too big objects and too low resolution
real space pics never look good in FL
-
Wow! You're good at that. Those are amazing! What are the nebulae in the pictures?
-
what is the required resolution and the size because i can edit them.. i can increase, decrease, sharpen, make more pixelated or make less pixelalted
OP - if i can edit these to be at the right specifications, i would be more than glad to make more for you.. for future ideas...just trying to get more experience.. dont want my time to not be well wasted but either way, i guess its not wasted since i just love making things with paint programs
i just like this mod so darn much... id feel pretty special ifyou found a way to use those pictures... hehehehe but no worriesand Aceguard thank you very much.. one of them is the Cat's Eye Nebula, Tarantula Nebula, Crab Nebula.. the images called Vortex is actually 2 kaleidoscopes i made then combined them together!!!
-
i think they are way too bright and there are too many details - and the blue one looks ahm dunno unreal. Even cannot imagine its a nebula.
But i think its hard to do in paint - but the others are nice. Good work tho. -
lol.. ya the blue one i dont much like... the colors are neat.. but the squigglies in the back make it look dumb.. lol and i actually used a blue gem stone to make that image.. but thank you
and for them being to bright... that can be edited to.. i will show you with an example of the brightest one here!but hey..it was just a thought... thanks for looking!!!

for FL its best to use extreme detailed nebula pics as background
no stars, no complex shapesfl does not render such pics well
the starspheres i create are mainly photoshop work... only for special objects (small objects) i would use space pics
ive mostly finished the work on that area of the mod (currently doing the last images)Thats the new omicron alpha starsphere:
-
i use paint shop pro.. i actually taught myself everything i know about it and freak.. im still learning how to use alot of the tools... i have yet to use photoshop but from what ive seen it can do... i really want to know how to use it properly
ill post other things once ive made more stuff..
i can understand why there needs to be "less" in the pictures tho... freelancer is getting pretty old now... -
WOW ! I really like the first of OP's ones, where is that place ?
also Angel, yorus are very cool too, most of them
-
you pics are not bad
its just that eg. the stars on it would be displayed terrible big in FL
they often would be strechedand images for starsphere require to have exact borders which fit to each other when placing many pics next to each other
here is an example how this pic would look like in FL...
original:FL(attached):

hmm that is cool that you took a screenshot for me to see... and omg those stars are freakin huge... like WHOA... but i also see why that wouldnt work... looked silly, really silly
ty for your input -
creating my first starpheres took ages
the very first one was the red one in hyperspacethat took me almost a week before i got it running without errors

totally understandable
im sure i can figure out the imaging but psp doesnt seem to be a good choice for this -
I like few, very interesting and creative 2, but be aware (NASA can sue you for copy rights)
(
)
-
that may be so but legally it shold have a copyright symbol on the photo, which they do not...
for example -
There must not be a copyright symbol to have a copyright
-
hey, im still learning here... lol
and your probably right... but this is why they are also only idea's and once i can make my own design then SWEET -
-
hmm, think NASA would copyright simple photos of space ?
By law, most things created by the US government are public domain (unless they are classified). The logic is that things created by public tax dollars should be returned to the public.
So, no, NASA would never copyright one of their photos. That is one (of several) reason why NASA photos are great to use as artwork.
Some photos, of course, are classified, which is obviously a stronger form of protection than a copyright. Publishing classified documents is treason, which is a capital offense (a.k.a. a "hanging offense").
Hey, that same concept would be a good way to solve the intellectual property topics that come up from time to time. Instead of copyrighting your work, just get it classified. Then, if somebody steals it, you can have them hanged!
Of course, the downside is that you would not be able to publish your own material, either.
So, um... never mind!

the site i got these photo's from are actually not owned by NASA in anyway...
so bullwinkle.. i think is right cuz people do pay taxes and thats where half of the profit from taxes goes...
