AFaIK There seems to be no way to leave Hyperspace to Menton... And there is no way back from the Inner Core sector either. Is there another way out of Hyperspace? (Or is it just that "Back to Normal Space" which I think will just take you back to Phanchdar but it actually won't and I'm just being retarded?)
I'm stuck on the mission where it tells you to "Find a Job", and since I can't find any in DK space I'm attempting to return to Sirius, or at least Altair.

I did find that post, and I followed those instructions and nothing different happened. Still milling about like a couple of confused cows. :/ However, I do have a habit of not waiting for the launcher to fully load before going right to SP, so that might be an issue. Thanks! I'll let you know if I have any more problems. :)

I am doing the Crossfire campaign mission where you have to escort the convoy from Dublin to the Order Base near Mars, and it seems like the AI governing the transports is utterly broken. They just mill about in circles with no intention of heading towards the target, except for now, in Sol, where I'm in formation and we ARE on our way to Earth, but we For whatever reason didn't take the Graceland and decided to go through open space with our cruise off. One abbreviation: WTF?! Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it? I've already tried restarting the game and doing the mission over.

My "problem" (though it's mainly one of laziness ;P) is that I'm in the original singleplayer campaign and I am on the Blood Dragons base in Chugoku. I have a sizeable amount of credits and a cargo hold full of escape pods that I earned during the previous mission, but as you all know there is no prison in Chugoku, only the one in Shikoku, which is in Kusari Navy space where I am no longer allowed to go. With almost a million credits to go between here and the continuation of the story, My question is this:
Is there any way besides taking job board missions at the base, which only give me around 40,000 credits a go, to get money faster? Or any place to buy back my reputation with Kusari so I can dock with their prison? Or any sort of cheating way?
I know this isn't the most... honorable of questions to say the least and my skills will suffer for it, but I know that. I only want to get through the campaign so I can play Crossfire's new one as soon as I can. :D I'm so excited but it'll take forever if I can't find a way around this.
    Thanks!

Thanks, I did that. It's stopped happening in battle now, although it still happens sometimes seemingly randomly, like when I'm interacting with a trade lane. No battledust involved there.
And ya, that's the... seventh(?) campaign mission from the original campaign :D I finally got Crossfire to work and I'm trekking through it.

Seemingly randomly, so far only during the SP campaign, the graphics will go completely nuts.I have a picture of what I am talking about; I finally managed to catch it, they are attached. IT doesn't impair functionality at all (weapons and everything still works as normal), but the HUD flickers as well and it gives me a headache. :P Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

Edit: If I press Alt+f4 and pause the game then alt+tab out and back in, it fixes itself. Weird, huh?

Thank you Martind, that helps. :) I just want to blow through the early missions as fast as I could in Vanilla to get to your expanded content... *sigh* I'm just going to have to exercise "patience", I guess.

I'd love to get some of those epic ships you mention, but it really shouldn't be necessary in the early missions, and anyway it isn't viable.

Hey, so, I don't really want to sound whiny, but I think that Crossfire has made the early missions (from Vanilla FL) too difficult. Namely, a lot of enemy ships are now far too "smart" or maneuverable to effectively track, they regenerate their shields and hull, and they drop countermeasures.

I love these features otherwise, like, in openSP and multiplayer playing 1.82 I loved them, because it made all the random missions great fun. But when you are being shot at by 8 Outcast ships in your crappy Defender, without access to better equipment, and your missiles won't track, it gets quite annoying. So:
Is there any way to disable the enemies dropping countermeasures in singleplayer? This alone would make things manageable. Or, if there isn't, does anyone have any tips as to how to overcome theses obstacles?

Or, am I just being crazy and no one else has encountered these, or am I just crap at this game?

Thanks for any helpful replies :)

    ahh never thought of that.
and from there you can get to the prisons in the systems off of X-3043
But is that jumpgate closed like the rest of them are until the end of mission 2? becuase if so that theory is useless...

it is if the jumpgates to Texas are closed in normal SP!
in 1.81 this was not an issue, because the next level requirements were at like 15,000 and you could level up just fine. But with the level requirements in normal SP being so astronomically high it wrecked my enthusiasm for the campaign part of the game, because in normal SP I'm not looking to find cool stuff like I am in Open SP or MP, but to follow the campaign!
