...english language files...?

    Hello everybody


    I have a question that may sound strange.


    Is there a way to get all the english language files of the game and/or the CF1.81 mod and install them new?


    Why I'm asking this?


    Well, I own the german version of the game... and recently I made whole new installation of the CF1.81 mod along with a fresh install of my german Freelancer edition...


    ...and now I experience, that there's a language mix in the mod... in SP-mode as well as in MP-mode...
    ...that means all the NPC's in the stations talk german as they allways did, but the NPC's docking information in space are in english...
    The story characters in SP-mode like Juni and King also talk german... but strange :) Trent speaks english...


    Now i would be nice, when I could change all the language files to english, because I like the english (original) version much more and to me the feeling would be be much more authentic..


    So, is there a way to manage this?

    Yes, as simple as buying the original FL game, or well, finding a site that gives old games for download, and use it... but it could be a mess.

    Chars: [CFPD]Michael~something (x25), [CFPD]~SQMS~{[(store)]} (x3), [CFPD]xfer, Event~Manager~Michael, StarfIier~EM~Michael, Event_Team_2, [GR]Michael[SP] and a blueprint of [CFPD]Sephirothis

    I have noticed the same "bug" for me on my french version game (not that it matters much to me though)


    Would it bug the crossfire mod if i reintalled Freelancer alone to see if it fixes anything?
    If so, I won't bother! :girl_impossible:

    Although this is definitively not a high priority bug to me (which I had hoped I could solve by myself without bothering anyone lol), so do not screw up your week-end for this!

    just put it into the freelancer folder prior your mod activation and make sure that they are not write protected

    LOL ... my AV quarantined this file just after loading. I had to first disable AV before I can successfully download it (:tommy: -->NOD AV)
