Crossfire 1.8 Release

Ah...I probably jumped the gun and downloaded something I shouldn't have. Anyways, congrats to OP for 1.8. When I can download and play, I'll see you all online!!

Hmmm... dunno if my antivirus settings are too high or somthing, but the download link in the Portal downloads area is not resulting in a download, even though the download count ticker is advancing every time I try it. Dang, I forgot to re-install my FTP program last time my HDD died, too...

i have download the mod also, the file is 104 MB also i try to run it and it says error, i try to download it again the the link have problem.
All the people waiting the link

There must be another problem...
I downloaded full and installed it, but cannot play the game,
so remove all and reinstalled several times.
When trying to launch, fly without huds or error occurred and kicked out.

so Im waiting new install file.

OP hasn't said he has sorted the issue yet.

downloaded it yesterday and played without any (grafical or gameplay issues in game)

only thing that didn't work was the market

but we should all wait until Op says its alright...

Uhm, OP, I thought the mod is going to be >2 GB? I expect the download to be at least 300 MB .

Tomorrow my order for my new pc parts will have arrived. It will be interesting to see how crossfire will run on a core 2 quad with 4 gig ram and eyefinity enabled The worse that will happen is crossfire wont run that res probably cause I know you never made crossfire to run on a resolution more than 1980 by 1080 (if I am correct).

But we shall see, if all goes well I shall give you pics ones I am in game and kicking

theres a tutorial for how to change your game ress to 1980 x 1080... its easy check the forum here or on moddb

damn now have to reinstall 7GB However the 2 hours i spent yesterday were fulfilled with a lot of joy so 7 GB reinstall are not a problem for sure

In all honesty, I am well capable of 2560 by 1600 res after tomorrow, so if I can, why not? xD

Just like to know ..for thous of us who played last night ... is there another complete char wipe , before the uploaded fixed version ... or can we keep the ones from last night ???

I don't think so, he just edited 31 files from the mod, not the server, so why another char wipe... I jsut had my few millions lol xD

And thinking before, I was gifting hundreds of mill like nothing xD

And yes... why should we need more than 1680 x 1050... and putting it to 1950 x 1080 sounds wrong... so wide...and no high... it would just change all the models of the game ? heh
