Ajay’s Blog

It's amazing how fast time flies when one doesn't keep track of it. Though I can't be blamed for not keeping track of time when I was stuck on DS17 analyzing data from the recon reports and DS17's own intelligence systems.

After the Weth Standoff, the Great Doms went dormant for some time. No doubt planning something. So I had to remain vigilant, even as DS17 grew emptier. I could understand that though. Some had business to do in Sirius or even in the furthest reaches of space. Some had loved ones back home.

Speaking of which, I managed to catch a lot of flak from Mom when she heard what happened during Operation Restoring Health. Yet I can only imagine how much flak Dennzio got from his wives. Which might be the reason why I haven't seen him in a while.

However soon I've heard from another of my friends.

-Hello, Ajay. I see you're still flying around Inner Core - Forlon said through the commlink.

Martind Forlon, founder of TSH and former leader of Silver Arrows, has recently

Looking back since I wrote my previous entry, I don't think I would ever imagine that the situation in the Galaxy would shift so cardinally.
Or maybe I did imagine that and have forgotten about it.
So... first things first? Deep Space Motherflakking Seventeen. The first stronghold of the Mankind on the way of Great Doms' conquest, and hopefully the first nail in said conquest's coffin. Something to get humans to finally man the flak up, stand side by side, hold the flakking line and throw these invading aliens back from whatever galaxy they came. Simple, right?
Unfortunately, some human arseholes disagreed. Even I didn't expect the sabotage attempt; even though we worked around it and managed to get the station running. What followed was a number of supplying operations to upgrade the station. Quite soon the first operations that used DS17 as staging base took place. I still have fond memories as we discussed Operation Podstava and Operation Countercharge together with other pilots. And

    Ajay's Story 2.0: The Intermission

Author's Warning And Notes: This chapter contains no action at all. I was just itching to write something for the story.
Some real people (or at least their RP characters) are mentioned in the story. Feel free to point out any mistakes I might make in their portrayals.
I also might be venting too much of my feelings into this, and probably I'll delete this soon. Read at your own discretion.

-Canteen, I finished my report. Here to present it in person, as by your request. - I said, entering Flyagin's office on Coalition HQ.
Neither of us have been aboard Coalition HQ for quite a while. However since the plans for a new IC operations have surfaced, he opted to return to desk job, using direct access to Coalition HQ's mainframes to compile data from recon pilots such as yours truly.
-I'm glad to see you, Ajay. How's your shoulder?
The shoulder in question got nearly busted during Operation SANRAI by an inside fragmentation. Closer to the end of the

    Ajay's Story 2.0: "Truth I Couldn't Bare Part II"

-Okay, now explain the stop in Sigma 17? - Flyagin asked.
-I donated some guns to a friend - I replied.
We were sitting in Stranger's cockpit, awaiting launch sequence.
And I still couldn't quite shake off the shock. The Datapad Of Doom, I have to admit, was nearly too much for me to handle. Though to be fair I always knew [DATA EXPUNGED] was a b_tch.
And now Flyagin needed a safe, secluded station as far away from human space as possible. Well, I knew one such station...
-Maybe Lost Paradise is worth considering? - he asked.
-Still Sirius, also it's Nomad space. The Order might get interested in it. No, Canteen, I have a better idea.
We flew from there to Omega 3 without landing, where I landed the ship on GMG observatory to set a location point in an Emergency Warp Drive and then used the Hypergate.

-I wish we had the Baneblade here - my CO said as we passed a Savage battleship with escorts in Venn.
    -I agree - I said. - Maybe Great Doms

The message from Flyagin I recieved was surprising. Mainly because it told me to stay in Weth and wait for him to drop by Stranger. Well, I knew the Baneblade already dropped by Inner Core and already destroyed a number of Great Doms' battlegroups, sapping the strength of their empires one battlegroup at a time. But I didn't suppose Flyagin himself was there.
So when my CO finally entered the part of Stranger's cargo bay I modified into a living block, first thing I asked was:
-What the ever-living FLAK are you doing here, Canteen?
He chuckled and took a spare seat as I offered him some "Tarhun"[2].
-I expected moonshine - Flyagin said, taking up the glass.
-I'm too lazy to reassemble the still, but don't avoid the question - I answered and downed my glass, then poured myself more.
-I need to talk with you here, on the territory so far out of human factions' reach. Seal the ship.
    I complied.
-A crisis is looming over Sirius. If it blows up, it

-Since when are you trading ships? - Flyagin asked.
-Since I have got an altruistic streak in my frozen heart - I replied.
We were sitting in a bar of Freeport 1, talking over a bottle of soda. Since I had to deliver a ship for another person, I had to ask somebody to follow me on the Stranger. Only person I could think about was my CO. Thankfully he's a total bro and was not really busy at that moment - or, to be more correct, he needed my services and had to get on Stranger anyway.
Well, the mission on a ship delivery was somewhat of a "shake off the boredom" thing. My acquittance needed a new ship, J-40 Quicksilver. Why he needed it was his own business, and I didn't want to be nosy. Granted, being nosy was more or less my job description as Intelligence scout pilot, but part of that was also about knowing when not to be nosy. Notably when it's about other person's private business.
How I met that man was a quite interesting story. It

    Ajay's Story 2.0. Ragnarock-n-roll Part II

Usually I start my stories from long prelude of me waking up, moping around for a few lines of text and only then placing myself into my pilot seat, taking off from whichever station sheltered me on this time to continue my flight.
But today I decided to say "Flak that" and cut right into the moment where Stranger is flying through the Dom'Kavash tradelane from Mirtrak Battle Station to Ryssk jumpgate, where my comrade awaits me to embark onto an Inner Core raid. I was pretty much chill, considering that I had another quite intense raid yesterday, but this one still promised to be interesting.
As I already mentioned in my previous entry, one of my pen pals from around is a Galaxy Ranger known as AZ09. Since the events of the said entry, he found out that he enjoys the destructive power of a railgun mounted on The Historian, his Ragnarok gunboat. His solo actions have already claimed a number of alien capital ships, and I decided to accompany

    Ajay's Story 2.0: Ragnarock-n-roll[1]

I am sure everyone knows Galaxy Rangers, but not everyone knows who exactly they are. A secret order of galactic guardians answering to Orillion directly, or something along the lines of political officers appointed among the members of the clans, or both at the same time - I did not really want to know. Of course, my own complicated position is making me not the right person to speak about it.
So when I noticed that one of my pen friends - known by his callsign, AZ09 - was elected as a GR of the Dark Phoenix clan, my reaction was more than my usual "huh". I kept that in mind for quite a while, until I've got a message from him, stating, that he is heading to the Inner Core with his Ragnarok.
I am sure that if any of the readers know Galaxy Rangers, they know the Ragnarok too. Combining the best traits of a Fighter and a Gunboat, Ragnarok is extremely fast and can dish out incredible amounts of damage with its Railgun. Needless to say it's turn

    WARNING: SPOILERS

Let's be honest, I am not really fit for military. Though since originally I was a dispatcher, that is somewhat justified - the job did not require any great strength, toughness or sharp eyesight. The contrast with the Drop Troops sergeant Flyagin brought with himself to the meeting brought it up.
-Oh, greetings, Ajay - Flyagin greeted me and gestured me to take a seat. I complied and he continued. - Senior Sergeant Margelov[1] and his men have been commanded here for a capture operation, deep within the Nomad space.
-Let me guess. That Lost Paradise cargo operation brought some results? - I asked.
-It did - my CO nodded and took a sip from his tea cup, then continued. - We have found a number of fugitives that opted to move there and try to get their hands on the cargo. Unluckily for them, it was a trap.
-You need to deliver my men there. One of platforms on the surface. You drop us, we do the rest. - Drop trooped added. - I

    Ajay's Story 2.0: And Again I Stand.

You are probably used to me starting my entry on me laying on my bed in my ship's cargo hold and reading some sort of Warhammer 40k literature.
This one was NOT the case, for I was sitting in my room aboard K-719 and tuning my simpod. Even though Canteen has taken the "Stranger" away again for some sort of maintenance, so I was left on the ship that served as his HQ, and people from here had to deal with my presence (which usually spelled heavy metal and rock being played in my room for most of my waking time).

And again I stand, with a truth I couldn't bare: I'm grounded AGAIN and instead of being grounded on my home planet (you can call it industrial hell for all I care, it's an industrial heaven for me) I am locked away in rooms and routines of a big freaking battleship.[1]
Flyagin's response to the question "so what the bloody flying rocket propelled wire guided optically tracked tube launched flak am I supposed to do?" was "You'll find
