I have done the impossible. In fact I challenge anyone with access to this ship to try this:
Fly through the GMG Hypergate with the Ion Cannons shooting at you.
I was trying to solo Ancient Drones after upgrading this ship with Armor, HF Champion Shield, Shield Generator, etc, but could barely survive. This ship is fast, but not best suited for combat. Since I took the Junker bribe and shot the depots in Manhattan, I figured I would see if I could fly through the hypergate. I have not been to SOL yet or taken the Coalition bribe. At 20k distance, I see the Ion Cannons are not hostile, I make my approach. Sure enough the GMG base was hostile, and the ion cannons open fire. Even though I knew I would die, I figured I would try to evade. Sure enough, I had no problem evading at 600km!
After dying about 20 times, I was finally able to figure out the timing of their fire and cool down, and engaged the jump when I was within 100m. I didn't believe it! This ship is fast, so fast you can make it through the hypergate with ion cannons shooting at you. Just a little practice and patience, and you can too!
I want to make a video of this feat, because it does take some skill. If anyone else can do it and prove it, do so here! You deserve recognition! I have some pictures that show how many times I died and then me in the inner core, and a picture of my galaxy map...but I want a video so that my claim is undisputed.
I will make a video soon with another new character. The speed with thrusters is 250, 600 with cruise. You may think it is a dissatisfaction, but when you can easily evade Ion Cannons, aliens in the Inner Core, and prove to be a tough target in PVP, it's very satisfying
