QuoteDisplay More- Import of freelancer accounts from ADF files, including duplicate detection and user feedback, has been implemented (IAdfAccountImporter, AdfAccountImporter, AdfImportResult)
- New data structure AccountsData: Accounts and InstallKey are stored and serialized together
- UI overhaul: Import split button with context menu, move-up/down buttons, improved ListView and Detail styles, and display of the InstallKey
- AccountsViewModel extended: ADF import, sorting, more robust delete and save logic, and improved handling of unsaved changes
- Registry constants added and documented

Also the log (2nd icon from top left menu) of the launcher should probably point out errors if something with the hashing isnt working correctly. As far as i know there are about 9000 files to hash. If there are problems please also post them here. You can use the "Copy All" button to copy all to the clipboard and then insert it here to your post. Or save it and upload the file.

Is there any further feedback no matter what? Just curious if people can use the account manager, how is the hashing or game start? Any requests for further features?
There are more than 100 downloads - and little less further feedback 🤔

In Sol south east there is a gate, but you could try to look in the wiki or search for a map. Don't want to tell to much as exploring is part of the game.

Copy GameLauncher.exe into your Freelancer\Exe folder.

Do not rename it to

SmartScreen Warning
When starting the launcher for the first time, Windows Defender SmartScreen may show a warning. This happens because the application is not code-signed yet.
Click More info → Run anyway to start the launcher.
We plan to submit the application to Microsoft later so this warning should disappear in future versions.
First Startup
On the first launch the launcher will automatically:
-
Download the required WebView runtime (in the background)
-
Store it in the Freelancer\CFLauncher folder
-
Generate hash files needed for file synchronization
This process only happens once. or after new files will be provided.
Estimated time:
-
SSD: usually under a minute
-
HDD: may take several minutes depending on the system
After Setup
Once everything is finished, you can launch:
-
Singleplayer
-
Multiplayer
The launcher UI should be fairly intuitive.

Hello all, i have a new version up and meanwhile basically tested together with OP_R8R.
I would like to ask for some more testers before we are going to release it entirely for the public.
The first start will take a bit longer as it creates hashes and stores them locally as well as the web interface is usually downloaded automatically in background (~44 MB)
The launcher is about 72 MB in size as it encapsulates everything it needs.
So please leave me a message if you want to test it. Best if you could name me your PC specs, which windows version. I would love to have win11 and win10 testers. Not have tested it under win7 yet - but i dont think it will work there.
I will send out the download by PM later or i'll open a group - eventually we can use tickets here for bugs or further recommendations from the testers.

Don't trust this woman too much. Lately, she's been agreeing with others far too much and not recognizing her own mistakes — I think she's a little overwhelmed.

The "immer" items will be downloaded every time - so did the old launcher, ignoring hashing.
The big advantage of the hashing in advance will be that it does not to hash every time before launching, which now takes several minutes at worst. If files were changed, then the new launcher detects that and hashes again and then very likely also downloads the file again. It should cover the most certain cases, however does not hinder people to manipulate their files around this check.
The fonts are the ones installed hopefully from the installer. I don't take it from the mod, but they have to be installed on Windows. Its batmanforever as far as i know. If that's not the case on everyone's PC then the fonts probably won't be shown, instead it will be using a default font - not sure which it is then. I can try to use another one or think of a better solution. Fonts should probably our least problem

In the next days I will try to work on the starting mechanics for the game considering all used settings and to properly apply these without the need to shut down the launcher, as it very like is the case with the current launcher.
Also the next items then are the launcher updater and some basic anti cheat preventions done by the client/launcher.

Well its encrypted - so you cannot edit it that easily. If they altered the file will be downloaded again. I think its relativ safe procedure.

Still not a 100% sure i comprehend. If you want to play single player, then you also have to run freelancer.exe. This should start the CF launcher where you can decide whether to play single player or multi player. The flserver must not be started at all. still wondering why it starts on your end. Thats simply wrong. If you execute crossfire by a link then check the linkage.

Its like we updating mostly for multiplayer purposes which is why you get always updates shown. You can ignore that if you simply want to run single player. But it might also be that sometimes OP also includes update for the single player - which is why in principal it is offered everytime.

I had a little time now to step a little further. Still having troubles to develop on my older pc - so i had to move.
I have added the launcher settings from current launcher, added an ui scaling, also added an account manager to the launcher.
It hashes the files in advance and stored the hashes meanswhile so not all files have to be hashed again - which takes the most time meanwhile when you start the game with the current launcher.
I tested the version as far as i can. Hashing seems to work properly.
Next steps are the launching game actually. And i also need to think of a way to have also an updated launcherupdater.
Here is a screen of the current layout / ui design:
