    Oh right, i forgot.
    Sry.
but i thought that the ships on the sirius side of the DR dont work.

Well, that is true... ;) But again, it's all part of the story line... Right? :D Besides, who's to say the Ion Cannons aren't active? I also sure as hell don't want to find out whether the Order fleet are just props or just stationary by accidentally shooting at them either... :D:D:D

Greetings OdinLeon! :) Glad to have you flying with us on the Crossfire 1.81 server! I'd almost encourage you to try the single player non-modded version of Freelancer for a while till you get accustomed to it if you've never played Freelancer before. As no doubt you've already noticed, Crossfire is basically Freelancer hyped on "roids" while snorting a line of coke! :D:D:D It's literally a continuation of the story line in a logical, evolving story. It is quite a bit stepped up in difficulty over the non-modded Freelancer though and quite imposing for new pilots who've never played many Freelancer mods.

BUT! If you're still willing to stick it out on the Crossfire server allow me to introduce myself and the clan I represent, the Silver Arrows! We are a "Order" style role-playing clan on the Crossfire server, as we're not mercs, police, smugglers or pirates, we are basically defenders of humanity and explorers. We fight primarily against aliens and study them and their technology in order to defend mankind from further Nomad invasions or worse! We also collect data, do surveying and mapping of systems and so forth. We often send expeditions into hostile alien systems and often travel deep into such areas for various missions. If you click the link on my signature you can find out more information there in the Silver Arrows recruitment thread.

Anyway, good fortune to you in whatever you do/decide Leon, good journey and fly safe out there on the Crossfire server. If you're ever in need of something or have questions, do not hesitate to PM me or any of my clan mates out there, we are here to help! 8)

Indeed sir, EPIC expedition was EPIC! It was a blast! :D (for me literally, I got blown up reeeeel good again this time LOL)

Thank you also from me to all the brave pilots for being a part of our expedition, we need to give you guys a medal for your participation, your heroic efforts and skill against the alien hordes. I salute you all! Our mission objectives were completed and humanity is safe... For now. :D

Until the next expedition gentlemen! *salutes*

    Sol is EMPTY.
There should be aliens in Sol too.
BIG, FAT, Nomad Motherships(and i mean something like the one in the long intro)>:)

Hellraiser, if you've played 1.81 enough, you'd realized just WHO kicked the Dom'Kavash out and who keeps the NOMADs out of Sol too. You'd also notice a MASSIVE FREEKIN armada that guards the dimensional rift in Sol along with a couple of ion cannons pointed at it just waiting for anything to come out that isn't human in origin.

Do you know how many players are trading nowadays?
    I know the answer: 0.[MSIE_newline_end ]

I'd almost have to agree with this, the addition of the Dervon system in 1.8 and the lure of a good resale price on Ancient Cannons makes it a much more attractive lure for those seeking to acquire wealth quickly than with the slower methods of trading.

Alright peeps, the 1.81 MAPS ARE HERE!

I've fixed a number of little things, added a few and given them a shiny new RELEASE NUMBER! Haha! :D:D:D

Hopefully these will be the last update I'll ever need to do. The scale is actually pretty realistic and to actual astronomical units now, even though the sector maps were originally 100x too small LOL!

I'll supply the base AutoCAD files by request, just send me a PM if you want them too. Both versions of the maps with background/no background are included, just use whichever you want. The plain ones will be easier on the printer toner though. ENJOY! :D8)

I dunno if ARROW has seen this yet due to him possibly still recovering, but on behalf of the Silver Arrows, we stand ready to assist and help Gunny. We haven't been here that long, but we're young and growing. We look forward to all older players and newer players alike to bring life back to the Crossfire server.

Uncleglennie, I think your answers are already listed in your previous thread simular to this one... If anything, my ship's listing of gear should be a good go by for what you should be looking for, as well as the other's ship examples.

The only thing I will suppliment that thread is that regarding the armor upgrades and the weight reducer, you can only mount one or the other, not both at once. It's either a slower ship with heavier armor or less cargo space and more agility/quicker turn radius.

Thanx for your reply. I haven't seen any weight reducers in hte game until now. Can I get that in the Tarsus system as well?

I already was planning on returning with my Bullpup tot Sirius, having bought 2 Gattlings... I'll try and up my stance with several factions. I guess I was hostile with the rogues since I took a bribe for the coalition earlier in the game. Never thought about the crossfire guys putting in hostile rogues inside the system. I only counted on having to deal with nomads, and with my bullpup that was no problem with the Mk3 using the strafe and slide technique..

No problem sir! Lt. Commander Arkane at your service! 8)

The weight reducer MKIII (the best one) can be found on planet Harris in Tau-31 for two million I believe.

Yes, get as many Coalition Gattlings as you can afford/have slots to mount them. You can also buy the Phoenix Project Cannons on Earth in the Sol system, they are pretty nice guns as well.

I'm rather interested in your story that the Coaltion Rogues are hostile to you, it's strange... Even with good relations with the Coaltion they were still neutral to me when I first came into Altair. I suspect you may have killed enough of them to garner a bad rep with them and I don't have a clue how to fix that honestly, aside from destroying Coaltion fighters...(which is NOT a wise thing to do in Altair, with all the DARK REIGN ION CANNONS all around Coalition space)

Greetings Rossman! I think you've got several problems in dealing with the Coaltion Rogues....

    1. You're tackling some of the strongest pirate factions in the mod, they carry as good equipment as the Coalition military forces and are possibly on par with thier skills/difficulty too. I regularly destroy high-level Outcasts and CSF forces fighters like I eat shredded wheat for breakfast back in Sirius and even I don't screw with the Coalition Rogues if I don't have to!

    2. One big mistake in taking on the Rogues as well is that most of their ships are the same as the Coalition's, small, manuverable and well armed.(read: they fly ships like the Lagg and the Saracen, very agile, while packing heat like 6xCoalition Gattlings, I.E. you're ship's hull is swiss cheese in approximately 3 seconds with zero shields) You're probably in one of the least manuverable "flies like a pregnant yak" freighters in the mod. This is probably your biggest issue IMHO.

    3. Yes, the shields are another big factor, you will need any of the lvl 10 shielding available in Sirius: the Adv. Champion lvl 10 graviton shield, Adv. Barrier MKII lvl 10 molecular shield or the Adv. Brigadine MKII lvl 10 positron shield, they are all roughly comparable but more effective against certain types of guns, respectively. (PM me if you want to know thier locations)

    4. I can only hope you have not ruined your repuation with them, as initially, they are neutral. If they are now hostile to you, you've got another just as deadly faction to deal with in Altair space, alongside the Nomads and possibly the Dom'Kavash. Not a fun place to be where bases are not near as numerous in the Sirius Sector.

My recommendation to you is to head back to Sirius for a more agile ship (or choose a fast Coalition fighter in Coalition space) and find some better weapons most likely.(get the Coalition gattlings in Coalition space, they will help even the odds a little, they are pretty "highend" weapons in this mod) Look for the "Shroud" on planet Prophecy in the Tarsus system, it's my personal favorite and will be much, MUCH more manuverable than the Bullpup MKIII. With a weight reducer it will get even more faster turns and greater agility. It can pack some serious heat with dual torp slots and 2x lvl9/4x lvl10 weapon slots. With it and a nice weapons loadout, you should have a much easier time with the Coalition Rogues.
