Ok the test version got released.
It only changes Manhattan so far.
I decided to release option 2 for test purposes since the faster cycle allows to test the the different weather states easier. This easily can be changed to option 1 later on.
There are 8 different settings which currently cycle through every 8 hours. Day/Night cycle including sunset. Clear sky, cloudy, rainy and thunder.
In theory it should be possible to change windows time setting to test all settings without waiting.

I would want to test a new script adding day and night cycles aswell as different weather effects on cityscapes.
There are two possible options.
- The cycle is purely bound to the players local time. If you play in the evening or night the game will also show cities at night. If you play at daytime cities will render the daytime scenes. Advantage is immersion. Disadvantage is that might not see settings because you always play at a certain time.
- Same as above but having 3 ingame day cycles per real day. Advantage is that you can experience more different settings. Disadvantage is that it is no longer directly bound to your local time.
Opinions please.

Based on some feedback from few weeks ago I would like to see MK10 weapons being rebalanced.
But I don't want to swing the nerf hammer. Instead lets discuss how to improve the somewhat weaker weapons in this category.
Meta seems to be the W'ar-sy Propulsor and the Coalition Gatling these days. Others are barely used for various reasons.
Lets discuss how to change that.

The announced next patch is going to be a bit bigger with ~180 files and ~700mb size.
Due to the amount of stuff that needs to be patches I shift the release to tomorrow (Monday) since I still have to write the update instructions.

- animation fix for coalition shipdealer
- release of the last station interior improvements (11 in total)
- improvement of interior items such as chairs, consoles and tables
- improvement of cityscape backgrounds
- improvement of all cityscape skydomes
- improvement of all ocean scenes
- improvement of planetscapes used in storyline
- improvement of backdrop items
- improvements on cityscape buildings
- further improvements to all station exteriors and other structures
- complete overhaul of all asteroid types in the game with the goal to improve the general look but also to make the different types look more distinct
- update to several coalition stations/structures
- a bunch of minor bug fixes
- minor launcher improvements

After ~7 months of almost weekly updates to the mod I finally decided to do a clean installation and get an overview of what has been patched and what still needs to be done.
For me that is a good way to see if the patches all worked and if I forgot something due to the sheer amount of stuff that was updated.
To my surprise there are few station interiors which have not been updated even though I am 1000% sure that I worked on them. Dunno yet if something with the update failed or if I simply forgot to upload that stuff... investigating on this issue.
I also found one station which had missing texture definitions. I fixed that already and will push out a fix asap.
And then there is the stuff that considered low priority or simply not worth to be updated (since players probably would not notice a difference).
I am currently reviewing these files and will provide a pretty large update for the low priority stuff by next weekend. With that the update of the stations should be finally done and we can move on with the stuff explained/announced at Crossfire Updates 2023

If the file is on 301kb then yes... thousands of ids are missing in your installation.
It does not make sense to send you the correct dll since that would not solve the problem. It might very well be that this is not the only file that was not updated/installed correctly. In the end you still might have issues with the mod.
UAC = User Account Control
It basically restricts what a windows user can or can not do on the PC.
Usually it is set to ask the User for permission when access restricted stuff is done by a program. It protects the PC from unwanted access.
I would never disable it but I would at least set it to level that wont block local programs and users.
If you type UAC into the window search you should be able to set the security level.
You also can run progams like the setup or the launcher as administrator by right-clicking the file and then selecting run as admin.
Also worth checking if the FL folder and the CF folder are in any way write protected.
right-click the folder, select properties and then it should show you the info if there is a write protection anywhere in there.
Since you mentioned having a AV tool and there is nothing in quarantine ill skip the explanation about window firewall. As soon a 3rd party AV program is installed the windows firewall is deactivated by default.
