    Attached below is the Crossfire installation guide by NucNuc with very detailed instructions.

    I have to add only few important notes:

    1) before you begin, make sure there is enough free space on the disk where the game will be installed (15 GB free or more should be a safe amount);

    2) disconnect the Tablet from the Internet and temporarily disable anti-virus software until installation is complete;

    3a) when installing Freelancer, choose a destination folder that is not located in any of the Windows folders (best is to make a new directory, e.g. C:\FL);

    3b) if Freelancer is already installed on your Tablet (as evident from this thread), you can skip the first part of the guide (until "and .... \o/ INSTALL FREELANCER \o/" line);

    4) do not pay attention to exact file sizes in the guide (those are probably outdated, so there is nothing wrong if you get different numbers).

    I had hoped there might have been a way to copy what is on the Computer and pasting in to the Tablet. Is that not a possibility?

    After Crossfire is up and running on the Tablet (and only after that!), I think you can then close the game, delete all files and folders in the game directory and put a copy of those from the PC instead. Then do the same with Documents/My Games/Freelancer. And finally, print or write down your Multiplayer ID from the PC and type it on the Tablet upon first launch of Crossfire Multiplayer. The result should be, in theory, a working game on the Tablet, identical in all features to one on the PC (including mod activation settings, launcher settings, game settings, saves, multiplayer chars, and any tweaks you made to the files).

    Player -ThanhRUI- was the winner and got 40 mill credits. All other participants received 30 mill credits. But then both (IOC)Fencer and -ThanhRUI- decided to donate their prizes to |DP|DeadPool, who therefore received 100 mill credits total. millionaire-squaredmillionaire-squaredmillionaire-squared

    The above numbers include a generous +20 mill donation to everyone from ThanhRUI.:hutab:

    Thanks to all for coming and see you next time!

    1. You will be practically forced to continue the campaign, because "main quest mode" will stay enabled which would not allow setting own waypoints or accepting jobs in bars. It will be more convenient to use one of previous pauses in vanilla campaign for exploration (although this way you could find stuff not belonging to vanilla which will be a spoiler for future story missions), or make through the complete storyline first.

    2. :thumbsup:

    3. Yes, both original and added systems (over 150 in total) will be yours to explore after the extended campaign is finished.

    P.S. Just FYI: Crossfire Multiplayer allows to freely explore everything, which you can do in parallel with the SP campaign (or thereafter if you would like to avoid spoilers) while getting help and advice from others, saving progres for the future and seeing yourself in CF player stats, and having lots of fun in general :)

    Hello John Leash and welcome!

    1. No, that is not possible unfortunately.

    2. A big YES: the lore was greatly expanded by creative input from the development team and community members. This includes not only bars, but also descriptions of solar objects, stations, wrecks, commodities, ships and much much much more...

    3. Yes, there will be pauses in CF campaign - just like in the vanilla one, from time to time you will be able to decline the main quest (temporarily) and take your time to explore and get ship upgrades. Some parts of the universe may remain closed until you finish the extended SP completely, and due to the game's technical limitation you will not be able to take missions in bars. But in systems available for exploration you can sometimes encounter bonus missions (i.e. "side quests") that activate automatically when you approach certain coordinates and are rewarded very generously. One of such pauses will be offered to you in S** system - make sure to use it and explore that system very thoroughly.

    Hope this helps :)

    The video clip you show is what I see in FL (or at least I think it is …….). Can't fully check at the moment because of the problem with my Tablet (see post above).

    When I play the alternative CF.20 video clip (on my Notebook), Trent is dressed differently and has facial tattoos.

    That clip was shot while playing Crossfire. Trent's and Juni's outfits may be different depending on the choices made during mod activation.

    For example, see the pictures of "Crossfire Trent" and "Original Trent" in this topic: Crossfire 2.0 - Mod options

    I need to understand what do you mean by "FL+CF2.0" ?

    Apologies, I meant "Freelancer with Crossfire 2.0 mod".

    In CF2.0 (on my Notebook) when Trent goes to the bar for the first time, Juni is sitting with "friend" and when he (Trent) speaks to her she directs him to the Armory. No problem.

    In Freelancer (on my Tablet) when I go to the Bar for the first time, Juni is not there. Trent cannot and has not spoken to her. Why is she not there?

    Looks like Crossfire on the Notebook works just fine, unlike I thought (and hence posted the video), but something is wrong with Freelancer on the Tablet.

    I also have "Freelancer" installed on another computer. But where are the Launcher setting in Freelancer, even making the simple choice of playing in SP or MP modes? And what about Windows mode or non-Windows mode? Thanks.

    Freelancer (the original game) does not have these settings, nor the launcher as such. MP mode can be chosen from the main menu in the game, and Open SP can be activated if Freelancer Mod Manager is installed (it is one of the small mods that come with FLMM by default).

    Window-mode lets you run the game within a window on desktop (same way as browser or other programs) instead of running in fullscreen (when the game occupies the entire screen space).

    Oh it worked perfectly. I do remember that introductory video, and how great to see it again!

    With Crossfire mod, the intro cutscene should look a lot better than you might remember from 8 years ago :) And you will surely enjoy the refreshed campaign as well. Good luck with the fights though!
