what I don't understand is that he cannot get back to custodian!!!!

in the SP game, storyline, I always go to custodian, pick up a black eagle, class 10 shields and a couple of decent guns. I either go back or carry on to x3043 to nephele and on to bretonia space to explore. I either go back the way I came or go to magellian and back into NY through the gate and carry on with the missions. I always do this to compensate for my lack of fighting skills.

if moegerbyte sends me a PM I will send him back a walk thru, so as not to upset too many people on the forum.

go back to Magellon, at Freeport 4 go north there is a gate that will get u back into NY. good luck

ps. personally I like to keep Outcasts on side, the rest I view as cattle to be farmed.

seriously, after playing CF SP storyline, you won't want the vanilla freelancer again. but if you do, just uninstall CF and do another clean install of freelancer.

just try the CF mod first, and if you want any help you can PM me for hints and tips on how to get thru the first couple of missions. you are probably used to the Titan being the top class ship, well in CF it is pretty useless, u can buy far better after completing the first mission.

give it a try, plenty of people on this forum are more than willing to help you.

don't ever apologise for your lack of English. most English players cannot speak any other language, whereas most of you guys are multilingual. I for one, am in awe of your language skills, and will always help out with English where I can.

yes it is definitely possible. I have friends who have several different mods on their computer. they have tried to explain it to me, but with my advanced age I didn't really understand how.

best tip I can give u is: re-install crossfire mod. I too played the vanilla freelancer for years, having sampled crossfire mod I would never go back to vanilla. the vanilla game is way too easy and restrictive, and these opinions coming from a decrepid elderly guy. crossfire is so much better and not as hard as you imagine. the people on this forum will always help you out with your questions and there is always the wiki.

come on back and give it a real go, I guarantee you will not regret it.

Silverfox is correct. you can also add to the list: xeno's everyone hates them. in fact all criminal/pirate organisations will eventually get your rep back with the houses and corporations.

I am assuming that you are playing the crossfire mod? if so stop thinking in terms of the vanilla ships. the Titan was a poor choice given what crossfire mod has to offer.

if you are playing the SP storyline, I would recommend that you buy the trading ship at manhattan before starting the first mission. get the best guns/turrets you can afford. believe me you can do the first mission ok as you will have decent firepower. after that get as much cash as you can, but do not take the next mission until you are ready. there are ways to get a decent ship with good shield and guns for less than 1 mill. if you want spoilers, you will have to PM me

hi there
in this mod you will find all fighting with npc's are more difficult than in the vanilla. they are not, however, insurmountable.

my advice would be to use strafe a lot and keep away from the missile and gun platforms, concentrate on the npc pirates.
alternatively change your starter ship for a cargo ship which will have more firepower. after completing that particular mission get some cash, resist taking any more of Juni's mission requests until you can afford a decent fighter with better shielding and weaponry.

good luck and enjoy the mod, it can be challenging but is fun.

it is good that u are prepared to start the campaign from the beginning. one thing that I would say to you is don't be in too great a hurry to go through the missions. you are only restricted to certain parts of Sirius early on, but explore first, you will be quite surprised at what you can get before going on to more missions that eventually get u out of Sirius. what was suggested to me, was, to buy the cheap freighter to use in the first two missions, they have greater firepower.

anyway enjoy and don't be afraid to come back here and ask questions, several players here will try to help.

very good points all. I have found that Forlon is very good at engaging new players. just lately there is a new guy doing something similar, International whatever.

as Centaurian has said if more of the veterans engaged the newer players, the incidence of bullying, whatever your personal stance on the subject, would probably decrease.

I don't only play single player game, you said that, not me. I had spent many hours playing MP as several players will probably attest.

you tend to twist peoples words to make your point is all. I have visited several other servers since I stopped playing here, and unfortunately, there is none that I have found that are better than CF.

the fact still remains that the CF server is still losing players, new players, to BULLYING. I will be back, and will see first hand then how things stand. hope to see you in-game.

oh dear, nit picking as per usual.

my point was that this type of bullying is losing players. I for one stopped playing months ago for this very reason. few people listened to me then and it seems few people are listening now.

my point is made with your head in the sand comment. or perhaps you guys don't really want the likes of me and gohan (is the spelling right this time??) playing this game.

personally I am awaiting CF2.0 and will only play in single player.

well guys n gals, I am with rohan's sentiments, and I feel that you are all missing the point.

Rohan is complaining, imho justifiably, about pirate bullying. most of you call it RP and do not tolerate any dissent from this view.
