if you have a newer keyboard there is a key between the ctl and alt with a pic of the windows logo on it. when i press that it takes me to the desktop, and i think, freezes the game.

i agree with Silver Fox. i think that you will need at least some kind of fighter. i was in a Sabre VHF, ans difficult as it was it could make the turns ok with some practice. all u have to do is complete the course by going through each gate without hitting them, as Hovis will stop to cheat and fire missiles at you. this will happen on both runs, so it it possible to complete the course and win even on the initial run. i am 66 years young and not so dextrous as some of the more experienced members here, so take heart and keep at it.

i forgot to mention, i am playing the multiplayer game as well as the SP new campaign. can understand the locked gates while playing the SP but not on MP.

the jump holes in question, seem to be locked. is there any reason for that?? my understanding was that all jump holes were to be unlocked. i use these particular ones as a short cut between NY and Bretonia.
there is obviously a reason why they are locked, i just wondered why!!!

i have made searches and cannot find an answer to my particular request/problem. as a newbie i called myself Ray_OK and would like my character name changed to RayOK_Explorer. i realise that i can just create a new character, but i don't want to lose all the information that my current character has amassed.
on previous mods that i have played on it has just been a case that someone in authority, i.e. a moderator or admin can just accomodate me and change the character name without too much problems. i hope this is the case here.

thanks for the tips. oh well back to making money on the boring 3 way trading route i have found. i have seen the ship you mentioned but noty the black eagle. i have been to the junkers base in NY but didn't take too much notice. will look again.

hi i am a new player and have elected to play your stand alone, with story, mod.
here is the problem - i am stuck on the escort to willard mission. the most enemy i can kill is only three. the attack is savage and i am the only one doing the killing. i realise that the NP's are now more difficult, but i cannot see a way through the mission.
i have spent 4mill credits on getting what i consider to be the best ship in liberty, the shadow LF from battleship mississipi and equipped it with 3 windstalker missile launcers and 3 class 5 guns.
is there a secret to completing this mission????
