No …….. I didn't think so. Nobody seems to know. I'll send you an Image showing what I mean. I'll send it here so others can see it. Maybe another new (nuisance) thread from me.

wombat1940 I can be mistaken, but I have feeling that we talk here about two different things. One is "Nomad Depot" and second Nomad Storage Depot ... this first is special and contain ship upgrades (in multiplayer) and second is common depot with 1-4 containers which are many and contains few commodities usually. How exactly is name for thing you found? Nomad depot image is in wiki link in my previous reply here.
I didn't know about the Nomad Depot and it certainly wasn't one of those. It just said "Storage Depot" but the text was red and something tells you it in Nomadic. I thought it was important because the background music in the game becomes very threatening when you get close. In this case it was a useless steel fabricated portal with no tanks. But gees! It got shot at by everybody around me so I left. The Storage Depots with the tanks I have picked up loot occasionally.

His reply was purposedly... lol, Dont worry it was obvious enough.
Whats B'Ship tho ? BiShip ? Bi*** Ship ?
Ha! No, no ……….. it Bill Shut I think, or something like that …...
-
yep you are absolutely right... its BattleShip
Thanks OP. But B'Ship only has 10 letters. My name has 8 …….. It can't be ……… Stop right there Wombat!!!
Before you get into trouble. More trouble!!! …..

Okay, I'll clear some things up.
These depots contain an item necessary for installing an upgrade onto a Battleship/Dreadnought class ship. Those are either:
-Cruise speed buff (to 600)
-Shield capacity and regeneration buff
-Reduced Battleship Torpedo Launcher cooldown time.
They can only be installed in multiplayer. In addition, they change their location each restart. However the depot locations repeat sometimes, and if you have mapped a depot it will be mapped if it appears there again.
Nice one Ajay. I had absolutely no idea what it was about. But that's normally the case with me. Ha! Actually I've just giving it a grid reference …. 3F in Unknown 3 ….. in the "System Info' " in the about to be updated Map, but its probably moved by now. Ha! Love it! As I said if you put a WP on it everybody comes, and normally gets there before you! When you say "mapped", is that, as I say, put a WP on it"? I did that actually. From 50 metres away. Ha! Shot at it but it dropped nothing. Probably because I'm in SP.
Thanks.

It seems "Nomad Storage Depots" are an enemy infiltration into other non-friendly sectors. Non-friendly to Nomads.

ahhhh... thats the BS upgrade depot...
Sorry …… "BS upgrade depot ……"
. BS can mean only one thing ….. B*** S*** ?
Now as for "upgrade and "depot", with a lower case "d" ………. well ……….
. However all's fine down here with me

Just found a Nomad Storage Depot while doing a survey here at Sekar. I located it by visually searching. If you highlight the text on your instrument panel, everybody and his dog comes for a piece.
Love the way the music changes as you draw close to it …... -
Shaders use (setting in launcher) affects brightness of screenshots allot. I often use Gimp
to enhance brightness curve ... but for maps I usually used original image which was only cropped. What shader option do you use? Thanks. Me? Sweet FX. [in 4 sentences ….. Ha!]

Not sure if this is related, but main grid lines (ones that divide A-H 1-8) can sometimes disappear from the map. Usually it takes only to zoom in and zoom out again to have them back.
Thanks. It just seems with me they're never there. When a System has been surveyed, I take a screenshot and its that screenshot that eventually make it as an image into System Maps in WIKI. Very few images will have the gridlines showing, but maybe that's not important. Thanks again.

When I survey a System I set my pathway depending on the scale of the image. This varies between 10 units to 34 units per grid square. So that I don't miss anything I make more circuits if the scale is 34 and less if its less than 34. For me, its the fewer the better. To mark the appropriate WP's to achieve this, I need to see the gridlines. Hopeless at Gamma 30 so I crank it up to 100 . They look like white roads at this setting (easy to set WP's). I was wondering if others like to see the gridlines for other purposes. Thanks

Hello wombat1940,
it will be my honor to be the first to answer the Question Never Asked Before

My Gamma setting remains at default value (0.30 in the .ini file)

Screenshots look good, and the nav map too (I think)
Thanks. I'll look at what Martind has said and then explain.

Hi. Hope this hasn't been asked before. What Gamma settings are pilots using in CF 2.0. Particularly when looking at the in-game map. Thanks.

Go and shout yourself a beer. Gees! You've earned it!
("Shout": Australian slang pub word to buy drinks. Like you'll be at the bar and someone says: "Its your shout Fred! Ha!")

Too many pictures? Never! I think OP has been looking for more. Hovis ……. aaaah yes that was his name. Don't remember being attacked by his mates though. They must have taken pity on me after my 20th try to beat Hovis.
