Installing the new Crossfire Launcher V1.55

    a new version of the Crossfire Launcher (V1.55) has been released.


    in order to make it work on ur machine, please follow these instructions:


    1) start the old launcher and let it download
    2) press either "LAUNCH Crossfire Singleplayer" or "LAUNCH Crossfire Multiplayer" and make it to the freelancer menu screen
    3) there u select "Exit the World of Crossfire" and answer that following question with "Yes"
    4) now start the launcher again and check that the last step changed that version number of the launcher to V1.55 (DON'T enter the server if it is NOT V1.55 or u might crash the game not only for u) - now let the new launcher do the updates and enter the server


    5) have fun

    Obviously the file used to make the most recent fixes... very clever, IMO! Great work, as usual; many thanks to OP & Hagar (works perfectly). Now if the server stabilty could be sorted out...(still crashing nearly every hour :( )

    Please explain your problem clearly. Does your Launcher say Version 1.55 ?
    If it does then you should be able to play.


    If it still does not work then the server may be down for sometime so try again after sometime.

    My bad it says 1.55 but it it says CF update not found. Last time I played was the day b4 and there was a server crash i left after that and exited CF and when I tried playing 2day it didnt go through.

    I played last night. Launcher worked perfectly. The game didnt crash at all. The standard server restart worked perfectly. I could only play for 25 minutes after the restart but the game ran well.
