List with bugged ships

Is this a definate for the predator? have had a few different views (1 from an SP too) that it is ok just want to clarify

to clarify it... ALL custom ships are bugged... in all mods
because they dont have correct working sur files... because its too hard to create those

Ok - I dont want to go onto my 'High Horse' or Flog a dead cat, or run over old ground. Or go back to old pastures, or move everybody backwards when the debate has moved on etc

Those that know me realise I really liked (enjoyed - almost loved) flying the Predator in this mod, and part of my self enforced asf/csf excile some months ago was becasue I got fed up of other pilots complaining I was flying a bugged ship ie Predator. - ie I was a cheater.

Ops post (above) just makes me mad - but I will keep it all inside and bottle it, rather then mention it - again (too late)

Are we saying that:

1. Those ships listed above are more bugged than the other custom ones and therefore banned, disaproved upon?

2. People should stop complaining and just play the game, even when ur opponent is flying a Predator?

PS I wont mention this again for at least - 3 months

If it's true that all of the custom ships cannot be made perfectly, shouldn't it not matter what ships we fly? I'll avoid those three ships as is asked, but as far RP goes couldn't one just say that their armor plating occasionally deflects shots or something? I've fought all three of those ships before, sometimes winning (mostly losing ), but I accepted whatever outcome there was as either good or bad piloting on my part. I refuse to pretend that the other person has such a vast technical advantage that it's impossible to beat them (I've even seen a ragnarok go down).

I'm not in favor of bugged ships or anything, but I agree with Haderach. If there are always going to be bugs in the SL ships we love so dearly why not ignore the bugs and enjoy the game in its entirety, taking it in stride when a bug just happens to help your opponent in an instance instead of yourself? I understand and appreciate the purpose of the "ban," but wouldn't it be easier for everyone to be a good sport than to enforce the non-use of certain ships in every instance of RP on the server? PvP is a test of skill, not equipment. Unless these ships don't take damage from any angle or weapon there will always be pilots good enough to find the weak points and tear them apart.

If the word is final though please slap me with a trout and I'll forget what I'm talking about.

(lol, after all, UAC operates at least 4 reliants, everyone has/had at least 1 Karak, and the Predator is it's premeir fighter for sale in Neophobos :O)

Its hard for SPs to police us lot cos we are a motley crew and will fully take advantage of any loopholes that exist.

There is a balance to be struck between fun and fair (and legal) - who's gonna guard us agaist the law breakers and dissidents and deviants? Not I.

EDIT - Also I started a save the Predator petition ages ago and no one signed it

oh Maudib, Gatts allowed again LOL. I challenge you you to a pillow fight in Kusari and if you think you are bold then a slap fight after that. Sorry M8, since we cant use ships or weps, that is the best I could comeup with for combat. Since is a combat server.

there is no reason to call for those specific ships to be banned, if so you would have to ban all ships that are specific to crossfire.

most ppl use a shroud and that is bugged, so why call for certain models to be banned? i certainly have no reason to think that i or anyone else who owns a predator has any advantages over anyone in a shroud. the reliant has proved to have a serious enough flaw to be excluded from pvp use, as has the karak. note the words serious enough flaw.

as this has been decided in the past, to prove the pilots have an unfair advantage in using these ships, actions were taken.

the main reason UAC rent Neophobos is because the Predator is sold there and it was a business decision, take that away and UAC have no reason to be there.

and as for ordnance usage nothing has been banned. OP increased to prices in order to discourage high usage and spammers. if they are for sale you can use them. undoubtedly the high use of ordnance may increase the lag, but a majority of the time it is still ppl running other programs while playing online, thats just ignorance at work.

one of the major increase in lag while in pvp/battle is when the npc's get involved when someone goes red from a stray shot, we have all experienced this and it affects us all to the same degree. any bugs that are present in any ships or ordnance will be exagerated in this situation, at which point i would say its acceptable to F1 out so the npc's disengage, for the sake of others present.

No Offense intended Dopp, but the Karak is no more bugged than the Predator.

If the Predator is unbanned then so should the Karak be unbanned. I dont know enough about the Reliant. But if it cant be blown up then we should use coalie torps against it. All ships can be killed.

I agree about the npc's. Anyone red should withdraw from battle and dock at the nearest station or plt. Then F1. I think that way the avoiding combat message wont come up ?

use the damn ship you want to use and voila ...

like predator or karak are going to help you once you face a missile in PvP .. missile is missile and thats it ... if you dont get the damage with the first one, second one will surely hit you ...

play the game, use reliant, or whatever you want ... and reliant can be killed by a VHF without a problem ... just like liberty BS ....

ONLY THING that bothers me atm, is the damn "comitt suicide" option .... if there would be a little fine for those making it ....

I've done at least a dozen PvPs in the Reliant and I've never been immune to damage... even once. It's just as pwnable as any other ship. As for the Shrouds, I've seen them do all sorts of messed up stuff with torpedoes, be immune to gunfire, and that's before the lag kicks in. I don't think many (if any) of the ships are more bugged than the others, but since the bugs aren't all that bad why all the hype?

The only reason I posted in this thread is that, Imo no ships or weps should be banned. The whole concept is silly. If people cant kill a certain ship, the answer is simple: Practice.

gunfire paases straight through the tail of the reliant, and registers no damage.

besides i saw the predator's front section not registering hits when gunny tested on H5N1/Richy.

I had the Predator test on me twice - once by Gunny and once by Kyron.

Both times they were able to hit me and both times I took damage.

Saying that, I am not disputing what they are saying, but in light of OPs comment about ALL custom ships being bugged in one way or another, maybe we can un ban these ships?

For me, I changed all my Predators to Shrouds and Saracens with permission from Gunny. I did this as I got fed up of certain IOC to BG saying the ship was bugged and therefore some of them wouldnt say gf, even if I got one kill in 10 or something.

Also, as Dopple has said already, UAC need our support as a growing clan and he needs to make some cash on the side to fund further training programmes and improvements to Neophobos Prison that hopefully will welcome certain members of ASF, very soon.

Will anyone sign my BRING BACK THE PRED PETITION?

I expect Boyscout didnt expect to kick this off
