looks good, i like the red

but the background repeats

the background does not repeat with IE engine

Interesting choice of ships for the background I noticed someone's name missing from that list though... Definitely an improvement over the old LR page

The background pictures, I wouldnt use pictures since they wont really show or dont melt with the main page. I would use a background that would melt with the page but at the same time would give something more. From the background picture I would use the color to design my own background (those colors do match with the new webpage look) Indeed you have a good eye for that...

means bad, maybe red goes better with a bit darker color (dark blue/green/orange and so on). Maybe dark blue like the menu/leters.
