the fact that we couldnt prove a speed mod (yet) does not mean that you did prove that you didnt used one (in fact you didnt)
so stop saying that those were false accusations as long you cant prove ur words

and i really suggest not to cross gunnys way for a very long time now

speed mod + crossfire = almost impossible.

It's sort of bittersweet imao. While the bickering in itself is disgusting and the posts rather harsh, it does make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to watch the vets smack people down as if it were a server-wide game of whack-a-mole. Maybe if the flame-spammers would stop rearing their heads and making these stupid threads the reasonable folks here wouldn't have to keep beating them back down (I'm sympathetic to an extent, but in the end people are getting what they asked for).

This whole thing sort of gets me into the gaudy, festive holiday spirit thing. [biggrin_christmas]

I'm the mysterious Lars that Wedge keeps mentioning as a character witness. My entire experience with him is as follows:

While making runs in New Berlin for cargo/money, I noticed a character who was using an obscene phrase as their name. I also noticed that the person it was addressing was also on (Gunny) and that he was located in Texas. I then noticed that two more people logged on, also using character names intended to cause problems (from GAY clan). I decided to suspend my current activities and head toward Texas. In route, I was whispered by Wedge with questions regarding pods and finding the most expensive ones. I whispered back that he could try Manchester or Vega and go to the prisons there for targets/missions. He also had some questions on where he could find level 10 sheilds and sheild generators (lvl10). Those answers I did not give him. The "conversation" lasted about 8-10 "back and forths", then I informed him that I had other business to attend to and wished him luck. By this time I had completed my business and started to head toward Texas using the trade lane gate just outside of Hamburg (planet). I was beginning to enter the trade lanes, but distracted by typing conversations (must learn to multitask), I had "docked" to the trade lane gate at maximum distance and had to slowly approach it. I had activated the tradelane, but before I could get close enough to enter, Wedge flew up and entered the gate. I had not been scanning for him,nor noticed him on my "important info" icon scan. By the time I had entered and reached "warp speed", Wedge had disappeared from my scanner up the trade lane. This is probably normal, but I freely admit I do not know if my advanced subsector scanner should have reached him. By the time I reached the jump gate to Hudson , Wedge had jumped through and the gate was starting to close. I followed and had him show up briefly as I entered Hudson, but he had already reached speed in the Trade lane and disappeared. Of course, he entered the Texas Gate ahead of me and I had to reactivate it to pass through. I traveled directly to Houston were I just sat and listened to the conversation between Gunny,some BGs, and the three "trouble makers". I never "saw" Wedge again.

I am not skilled enough to recognize most, nor was I looking for, speed mods. Wedge was a far better pilot than I was (heck, who isn't) and that was no doubt at least some (if not all) of the reason he left me at trade lane junctions. I did not observe him in "free space" on cruise, nor see him in battle. My conversations with him were in regards to the level 10 items; annoying , but no more than many new players to CF ask me. He was to the point, but not rude during our very brief conversation. No money changed hands.

So, as a character witness, I fail. I cannot say if Wedge was causing problems or cheating. Nor can I safely vouch that he was NOT cheating. All I can do is defer to those people I trust who are modding experts and those who personally observe events to give a more professional opinon. There is no doubt that CF has plenty of people with much passion and strong views. For the most part, that is for the good of the server family. However, there are times that conversations rapidly go downhill in manners when someone feels slighted or challenged.

As a personal note, I play CF Freelancer as well as other games on the Net because it offers me a chance to unwind from 10+ hours of treating patients, not because I live a "sad" life. You earn three college degrees and work hard, you deserve some time off. Oops, see, I almost fell into the trap of having a conversation go downhill. So, good day to all.

In game I told you to stop harrassing and drop the subject. Your reply was to the effect: " I wont stop until you apologize".

Now I see you are still trying to build your defense and offense by continuing to carry on with other players about this matter.

The Admin, in his own words, pretty much told you to drop the subject.

If you want to try to kill me in game, then do so, stand in line and it is long. I welcome a good fight, so stop the yapping and let's see what you have.

I love this game, I love to fight and I love this mod. We on CF have a reputation for "put up or shut up".

Wedge this screenie clearly shows you saying NO IOC helped you with money or items. I do not like to call names but it is clear that you have not been truthful regarding IOC. And Wedge everyone knows you are GK it is only obviouse.

To all CF there have been lies and slanders against some IOC members in order that IOC will be driven away from CF. NQ has been very skilled at manipulating people. They can win this "war" without firing even one shot by turning us against ourselves. What I have shown here is PROOF. I hope that we stop turning on each other and start evicting NQ from this server.

what would it matter if he was GK? they cant fight for shit anyway!!
